Then might as well get Chinese phones. Cheaper, better spec.

Th... moreAt least you have the ability to do it, unlike Nexus 4 which, might be able to be flashed by a Marshmallow custom ROM, but would probably be buggy and glitchy. Any phones before SnapDragon 808 won't be getting Nougat because Qualcomm didn't provide the drivers needed to run on them. Unless they give it, Marshmallow will be the last major update of SnapDragon 800/801/805 devices

The only way to get Marshmallow on it is to unlock the bootloader, install recovery and then flash a MM ROM from XDA.
Also, the lowest phone to get Nougat form Sony will be the Z3+.
The older phones won't be getting it cos their architecture is not compatible with it: X86 vs x64.

For instance, the Xperia Z, which was released at the time of the Nexus 4, has received the Marshmallow update, while the Nexus 4 even struggles to get one. And IMO, Sony's UI is the most attractive one because it's the most matured looking icons. Even the new android Nougat interface looks childish and iPhone-ish IMO. But that's just me. Anyhow, I still don't like the LG UX 5.0

You guys eithrr get the update faster via PC Companion or Flashtool.
