pathetic phone and there is no demand but still production is slow ... and wait time is 5 weeks for this junk !!!

I mean... moreDXO scores image quality, not user experience, so yes, obviously a device can get a good score while still crashing left and right and generally being a pain to deal with. No cheating required, doesn't take a rocket scientist to read and understand how they score either.

I wonder if turning the feature off would change anything.

Google deserve this thing because they kill Nexus and disappoint all Nexus fan, and the suckest thing is the price & the spec, DxOmark score is suck too, are they paid for that score ?

I have the Pixel XL bought from Carphone Warehouse in England and I ran into this problem the other day. It occurred when I was on a beach with very little signal. Weirdly if I tapped on the back of the phone it would fix it for a second which made me think it was a loose connection or something. As soon as I got back into a signal area and started searching online it had fixed itself. Very weird issue and hoping the find a fix soon.
