To many the phone is an appliance, and in the end the OS is an adopted ecosystem and/or popularity contest despite the internals. These factors, I believe, are going to be very hard for Microsoft to overcome. And, so far, that appears to be the case.

2017 will come with a new Windows phone from Microsoft. So yeah, it's still alive and kicking (Android's slow, and basic a*s). Of course, not in market share, but in the quality of the OS.

But that's not a real issue anyway, as all major and useful apps are present. (even if they're 3rd party apps, they're better than the standard ones)

I think it is worth buying it for $200 bundled with the dock. No more any dollar. $200 all, down from $599.

I made the worst mistake of my life when I thought this phone would replace my galaxy S7 edge right after the screen exploded against the floor... I was mad because the replacement would cost me almost half of what the phone costs new, here in Costa Rica $300!!! I said: "F... Samsung! I'll switch to W10"... the specs of the X3 sounded great, but it's SLOOOOW and Painful as hell, also having a great time trying to copy your content, or even worse your contacts from your old phone it's just not worth it... My sincere advice? Just no. Take a look at UMI phones, the Plus has the same specs except for water resistance, and just costs a bit over $200 at gearbest...

I've switched from Android (OnePlus 2 - used it for 1 year) to the Lumia 950 a couple months ago and I am amazed on how fast and easy to use Windows is. No more apps force closing, most advanced user interface you can currently get on a smartphone, flawless email/cloud/media/setting syncing, more useful features than Android provides, etc.
All in all, Windows (for phones) is now a more solid OS than Android is. The only downside is the number of apps in the Store, but I've found other apps that work better than the original apps in Android or iOS. (Youtube for instance - plays with no ads, plays under lockscreen, plays in the background while I'm using other apps)
Bye bye Android! No more half-baked solutions on my device.
