      Bezels. HUGE UGLY BEZELS..
And that unsightly design of the fingerprint scanner.
No 2.5D for an upper mid-ranger!
Seriously lenovo, what were you thinking while designing this?! Moto X series were known for their looks.. My X Play looks waaay better.

The X used to be their flagship, what happened?! This is a travesty of a phone with it's bezels and fat chins, and those jeans are just as ugly too.

AnonD-368020, 03 Dec 2016I hoped X series would still be moto made but lenovo ruined... moreWhen something good happens, you guys refer to the company as Motorola, which is what it is. When something you don't like happens, you guys refer to the company as Lenovo, which is the parent company that owns Motorola, a subsidiary of Lenovo. This is so 2015 omg Make your minds up!

Furthermore, here is how this will be broken down:

Motorola will entirely design, develop and manufacture the Moto Z line of smartphones and the Moto G line of smartphones, aka the important lines of product coming from the company. The Moto E, Moto M (both of which are limited to India and most likely China and contain a Mediatek SoC), and the Moto X 2017 (I'm still pretty unsure about this one) will be designed by Motorola and developed and manufactured by Lenovo.

It seems like the Moto G and Moto Z will be widely available unlocked and through Verizon in the states (Droid editions) and the Moto X will be available widely for those who want an upper midrange/high end phone that costs less than a Z and doesn't have Moto mod expansion.

The Moto G line has a variant that is basically equivalent to the Moto E in most categories, so the Moto E seems to now be limited in which markets it is sold in, and the Moto M is also very limited. Those two are going to mostly be for Chinese audiences who want "Motorola" phones, so it is easy for Motorola to have Lenovo manufacturing those devices.

As for this thing, wait and see.

Looks awful. Who likes those rounded phones anymore. Fake gold color front, plus out of proportion and alignment home button. Downright ugly.

I miss the day Motorola releases early Droid series, or even flip V series and good old E398. This year's gen is really lame, gold color is so gay, I miss those old durable carbon kevlar case.

                          Oh!
Looks like Moto M. Hope they do not worsen the performance by using mediatek SoC.

No front facing stereo speakers? Big chin just for the fingerprint reader? Why?? The dimple on the back is the perfect place for that. This is DOA for me if it ships in this configuration. My MXPE looks to be my last Moto phone. I'll hang on to it until a better "non-Hold This Cat" Pixel phone is released.

The Z was probably supposed to be the next "X", but Lenovo decided to rebrand it.

Motorola better change the design because it looks bad.
