Spending your money wisely means you see what's important for you and give priority to certain features. Still, you have to make compromises in certain areas, that's why a budget phone is way cheaper than a flagship.

But it doesn't mean the people who buy flagships are not wise. They just find that the money they are spending for what they get is worth it even if in some cases, some features are only a little better. But they think that "little better" is worth it. I don't have nothing against it.

I am against companies like Samsung and Apple who add features that you won't even notice or need and increase the price unexceptionally high in order to make profit. I love brands like Lenovo, Xiamo and Oneplus, I used to love Samsung in the past where their phones used to be reasonable priced but they are just like Apple now. Can't say anything wrong about LG though their flagship is reasonable priced given the specs compared to Sammy and HTC...

That's 3 big things in a smartphone that S7 or any other flagship is better. Does that justifies the price increase relatively to the G4? that's another story. Depends of what every person values most.

Of course if people spend their time sending messages through whatsapp, making calls, using instagram/facebook, taking pics with good lighting and listening to music on spotify their not gonna note a difference between a G4 a flagship...

Hahaha i love how this guy is trying to convince everyone that is G4 is the best phone out there, you don't need nothing more than a G4 and it's as good as any flagship. You should be a very good salesman right? Again, if you're happy with it and does what you want, good, enjoy it. But it's not as good as a flagship in several areas, not even close. Don't argue with it.

It's useless to continue this discussion as you just don't understand that so yeah, you seem to have an understanding problem because you don't understand something as simple as this one: It may suit your needs, it may be an awesome buy for what you pay for it (there are better ones though in my opinion) and for what you want to do with it. But it's not as good as a flagship, especially considering peoples priorities vary.

          Cheers.

AnonD-205566, 04 Dec 2016I love how you keep repeating that it takes great pictures ... moreActually the moto g4 does have a setting where you can maximze the exposure and balancing the iso gradually low this helps gets rid of noise altogether while maintaining good details in darkness i have done this too many times, your s7 or g5 what ever might take better pictures by default however it doesn't mean that other phones can't take good pictures, you probably see all the youtube videos how goddess the s7 is and make your judgement on it but those youtubers don't even try to use the correct settings to the situation they just use the default settings and the photos become mess until you try to get one in hands and live with it for a couple of days don't make any assumptions. Sure the s7 and g5 take in more light and are sharper with dozen of features but i doubt that it has any impact unless you see photos on large screens monitors.

I don't take a lot of pictures, and if I did, I would just use a real camera. I also don't play graphics intense games on my phone. Got a Laptop for that. The display is pretty good, especially at this price. Another thing, my Moto G4 is completely unlocked and was a lot cheaper new than my Samsung was. Battery Life is also better on The Moto G4. Overall, specs wise, you are right, it isn't "as good" as flagships, but for most users, it is good enough and will save them a lot of money off contract. It connects to the same internet, emails, and apps as the flagships.

There is no mobile in moto g4 's price range which can beat it.

Anonymous, 03 Dec 2016And who exactly are you to tell me that i have an understan... moreI love how you keep repeating that it takes great pictures even in low light "if you know how to change the settings". The settings in the g4 camera are a piece of crap, you get to fiddle with just the very basics and even then every step you take in any of those is an abrupt change, they're represented as slides when in fact they behave more like switches, so it's not all that useful really.
If you want to take full advantage of any camera you need them to save pictures in raw format. Does the g4 allow you to do that? No, it does not. The s7, g5, V20, and HTC10 do. Moto's processing isn't all that great either compared to those, even in the X and Z lineups (specially in low light). The g4 has an f/2.0 aperture compared against the 1.7 of the S7 and the 1.8 of the HTC10 G5 and V20 (although that may be somewhat balanced in some cases depending on sensor size and Pixel size).

In any case, the g4 may take good pictures in good light (lets be honest, nowadays any phone that doesn't is a resounding failure in the camera department) but in low light the situation is something completely different. Most phones become pretty much useless once the sun comes down except for a few exceptions (S7, G5, V20, iPhone, and maybe even HCT10). Noise goes through the roof, most have severe trouble locking focus, color rendition is awful and saturation plummets. And the g4 falls right in that category.

So please, PLEASE, stop saying the g4 is great at taking pictures. It just isn't, and that becomes painfully obvious if you compare it with those other phones. You don even need to hold them side by side.

This is an image of the Moto G4 and G4+ spec sheet, with the 4 replaced with a 5. All the specs are the same-octa core processor, fingerprint scanner only available on the Plus-even the wallpapers are identical! Calling this a G5 because you saw the world's laziest Photoshop is simply irresponsible.

Nowhere did I say the moto g4 camera is as good as the s7 or g5 in that matter but is near as good, you need to learn how to adjust the correct settings to get the best results not just having more pixels and thank fully lenovo provided the phone with good settings optimisation there's not much any difference compares to the g5 or s7 unless you zoom in high details or in very low light conditions that being said it runs everything just fine even games with demanding graphics so again the display is 1080p ips and in my opinion the colours are better and brighter than oled except for the blacks so overall is just as good as a flagship minus the gimmicky features. You like metal phone good for you now let me tell you your 700 metal phone will get obsolete and forgotten in a few months and its value will be that of the moto g4 so don't get too upset with me if you equal value to quality because that's certainly not the case

I'm gonna say it simple so you can understand it: The things you mentioned, like better camera, better quality of materials, faster, better screen may not matter to you. But matter to a lot of people.

What makes spending 700-800 on a smartphone justifiable is how much a person values those things.

There's a difference between being the best in absolute terms and being the best relative to price. Can you understand that?

Your moto doesn't take photos as good as a galaxy s7 edge or LG G5, period. If you say so, is because you never had them in your hand to compare.

Your moto doesn't play games in high resolution as fast and smooth as a HTC10 or any other flagship.

Your moto doesn't have a screen as good as a LG G5.

Now, is the money people pay for the flagships worth it? For me, it's not worth it. But if for a person it's fundamental that she has the best and has the money to spend on it, then yes.

If you want the best price/performance/quality then yes the OP3-OP3T is the best in the market actually. But it's not the best in absolute terms. Doesn't have the best camera, doesn't have the best screen etc Do you understand the difference?

Stop trying to say that your moto is as good as a flagship. It may be for you but in absolute terms, not even close.

The things that makes a phone (or anything for that matters) better than other are very subjective. In the end, what decides which phone is better are not the specs and definitely not the benchmarks. It's the user itself.

For 200$ phones, this and Xiaomi phones are your best pick. One thing for sure, pretty much all owners of both devices (RN3 pro and Moto G4/plus) are satisfied :D

Now I have a S7 and really it's way faster than a mid range Moto, it's not milliseconds, before a Moto starts 1 app my current S7 starts already the 4th app.

What you do is what I did in the past, it's like conparing a BMW with a Bugatti Veyron and saying there are same but after using the "Veyron" every day then you know it's WAY better than the BMW.

You don't need a high end phone, nothing wrong with mid range phones but a high end phone is really way better than a midrange and thats a fact.
