Again, not true. 99% of apps and games only use 1 or 2 cores. So single core performance is the only one important factor. Multi core benchmarks are only for marketing purpose, it's to deceive primitive people who can't see further than the highest benchmark number they can find: the multi core benchmark. These primitive people don't understand the fact that they will never utilize that performance (all cores at 100% usage), while most of the time 1 or 2 cores are used at 100%.

The reason why Qualcomm went for 8 Kryo cores is that those primitive people bashed S820 because it had a bit lower multi core benchmark score than others. They of course didn't mention that it has better single core score than others (except Apple CPU).

The reason why iPhones are smooth and high performing is not iOS or optimization, but that it doesn't have the overkill and unnecessary QHD screen resolution, and it has the best single core CPU performance by far.

I saw 180000 score Antutu for Snapdragon 835 on another website. My Galaxy S6 has 85000 score so it will be a big upgrade in performance when I upgrade next year. I hope HTC and Sony make a good allround phone in 2017 with this Snapdragon chipset, because I want something a bit different than Samsung as my next phone.

sohail shafayat, 07 Dec 2016For those who are saying A9 fusion is dual core, it's actua... moreThe guys over Chipworks have been working hard to decrypt the new A10 Fusion chip and what's interesting is that they can't find the two low-power cores. In fact, those are not available to anything but the OS itself. No benchmark or game can use those; in fact, the benchmarks can't detect them at all - they show the CPU as dual-core.

Chipworks are still guessing the position on the chip of those two cores, but their placement is not of importance right now, but the fact that they are exclusive to the iOS and can't be found by anything else. So, as far as the processing performance is concerned - all benchmarks use the two high-performance A10 cores ticking at 2.34GHz.

It's still 2 cores these other 2 ones are just a feature to save power and not very interesting (of course on data sheet, for noobs it looks better when you have 8 cores than 4 cores but then why the heck is my Xperia M4 Aqua with 8 cores slower than an iPhone 5s with 2 cores??? Just a little suggestion, the architecture is much better because the M4 Aqua uses cores which are used as power saving cores in high end SoCs. But I understand, that's too much for you)

Still loses to this year's A10 in RAM, single-core CPU and I/O. Those matter a lot in everyday usage, speed, lack of lag, etc.
