Google is finally testing separate Apps and Games sections in the Play Store

Google is now testing a slight redesign of the Play Store on Android, with a lucky few seeing separate Apps and Games sections.

    It was a silly and provoking thing to rename the neutrally named "Android market" to "Play store" in the first place (a couple of years ago), so nice that they at the least partly admit their error, recognising that there are quite a few people not regarding their devices as primarily gaming consoles...

    Imaging if your Super market was renamed "Candy store" - sure they ALSO sells candy (and that is just fine), but it does not exactly reflect that they are selling groceries...

    Personally I have NEVER used the front page of the "Play store" it is just annoying NOISE, wasting my time (and battery/bandwidth)!
    I ALWAYS click the bars and "My apps and games", and from there either handle updates/feedback/uninstall or click search to look for new apps.

      So, who is crazy about this news?

          TC for Life, 08 Dec 2016It's just a color. -_-It shows you how bad Google designs most of their products/software. Vanilla Android is quite ugly and always has been, with bad colors.

                First step back towards sense!
                "Android market" was the old name.
                The 'new' name "Play store" is suitable for GAMES but NOT apps...

                  On that note, why is Entertainment on the Play Store? I thought we already have Play Movies?

                    Should have been done years ago...

                      Let's hope it stays that way because (for me!) games could just as well be removed from PlayStore altogether...
