i've been searching the features of both arch and sgs2. sgs2 really has great specs. but trying to compare the performance of these two great phones, you will be satisfied with arch's performance. example when using the video, arch is much better in this department compare to sgs2. want some evidence? go to: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uvudHUfSa84

Sony Ericsson comes out clean with the latest XPERIA Arc.,

I really like what Im reading here about the Arc/Great pictures/video/media player with eq and great sound. Great voice clarity on phone and through speaker phone. No lag in pictures/games or apps.
      It does HDMI mirroring
Along with this phone I was considering the yet to be released Samsung Galaxy S2 with dual core and the amoled plus screen.
A few things concern me dual core is 1st generation/limited apps and games that use dual core/will dual core see firmware updates and when?
I understand that even though the arc is only single core it has very little lag and can keep up in most cases.
The Arc doesn't have Amoled but is still a beautiful screen.
Bigger is not always better. I will wait a few generations for dual core and take the Sony Xperia Arc as my phone.
Would love to hear your opinions

I'm really impressed with the Xperia Arc and those of you that love the design/great pictures and clarity of the screen/fantastic sound both in conversations and via the speakerphone and Sony and it has a great size screen not too big or small. It also comes with 2.3 firmware installed and has HDMI mirroring to your TV
It has a single core processor vs a dual core like the Samsung Galaxy S2. But as long as the Sony can handle the movies/apps/multitasking without a lag is what is most important to me and Sony states they have learned their mistake about not updating software.
Dual core is new(1st generation) it will take awhile for developers to develop games/apps that work well with dual core and will the companies that put out dual core do updates in a timely matter.
I'm under the impression in regards to dual core vs single core that in some cases there is a slight lag. Even though the Arc is single core it will stand up to the challenge of dual core phones.
Unless someone can give me really good reasons to go with the Samsung Galaxy S2 phone. I;m getting the Xperia Arc.

        Love to hear your opinions.

SE Xperia Arc over motorola atrix -
A great 8mpx camera with Sony's award winning Exmor R sensor, led flash, autofocus, smile detection, face detection, image stabilization, video stabilization as compared to poor 5mpx camera of atrix without anything.
Great 4.2 inch LED backlit Reality display with Sony's great Mobile Bravia Engine as compared to poor old gen simple LCD display of atrix.
SE's great customization(timescape /mediapane) as compared to one of the worst motorola customization(motoblur).
Android 2.3 preloaded as compared to old 2.2 in atrix.
Almost double battery life(460hr) as compared to atrix's poor 250 hr standby time.
Extremely slim at 8.7 mm as compared to atrix.
Unique & the sexiest ever design in touchscreen phones as compared to ugly iphone copycat design of atrix.
Body made from premium materials as compared to poor quality body materials of atrix.
Arc will be very soon connected with Sony's Qriocity media on demand service as compared to nothing on atrix.
SE has always been great in sound quality but motorola sucks. Therefore much better sound quality in Arc as compared to atrix.
Motorola atrix has dual core processor but I don't care about it unless I get at least good battery life. Atrix has much better internal memory but it doesn't matter anymore in Arc bcoz we can save apps & games directly to memory card in android 2.3
1080p video playback is possible in atrix but it doesn't create any diff. until we have a screen with comparable resolution.
Atrix has 1GB RAM but it doesn't matter bcoz Arc is giving a ultimately smooth experience with 512 MB RAM(as reported by everyone who has previewed Arc)

Nokia N9 with the specs rumored and almost revealed will be a colossus of the mobility. 1.2GHz processor, probably a dual core ST-Ericsson U8500, with Mali 400MP graphics, capable of 190 millions of polygons displayed in the maximum will be comparable to the future PSP 2. For beyond of the 768MB of RAM, display of 4,2 inches and qwerty keyboard. For beyond the not to talk of the promissor Meego OS.

nowdays phone manufacters just increase megapixels... so you think wow ive got 12megapixel phone camera but in reality image sensor is the on that counts in image quality! and xenon flash would be necessary when shooting in the dark with that small image sensor!
