I am praying that these stupid (IMO) things prove so difficult for apple to product that they rethink thier strategy around the removal of the headphone jack.

But who said i'm buying these? I'm just commenting on a failed decision from Apple. You're just assuming too much, trying to understand my actions here.
The fact is Apple took a bad decision with this.
Your way of thinking is, don't question anything. If Apple delayed the airpods, it's because they have a good reason. What reason is that? Maybe get the product to function properly? Well if that's the case, why didn't they perfected it first and launched in 2017? Isn't that what Apple always said "We like to do it first but better than that, we like to do it better".
Not complaining for no reason. Apple announced the airpods in the September event and said everyone would be able to buy them in case you forgot already. They made a big deal about it in the event.
Well...until now that's not happening. And by the way of it, it's not gonna happen soon. Maybe in January or February you can buy them?

If this were released already, you would be an ignorant to only limit yourself to these headphones. Why limit yourself now. If you want wired headsets, there is a dongle in the box that you can use that gives you the same options as before.
I'm not a fan of removing the 3.5mm jack, but I'm still going to call out people like you who just complain for no reason.

It was bad planning. A company has the obligation to provide alternatives to their customers (specially when they removed something everybody was using), even more when that company name is Apple, not a small brand.
But go one keep finding excuses.

The problem here was a "rushed decision" to eliminate the headphone jack. That decision was taken by Apple and Apple must provide alternatives, not relying on third parties to provide the alternatives to their own customers.
They could've waited for 2017, planed the things better and have everything ready.

The airpods also have three time the battery life of the Iconx. But then again, maybe in Samsung devices weaker batteries are a good thing.

Apple died along with Steve Jobs. No real innovation comes from Apple anymore. Just garbage. Think of this apple as a leech. Leeching off money from people who were with apple's golden age.

Look at apple airpods alternatives and enjoy. IconX and Erato both works well fine with iPhone.

This should have been released at the same time the iphone 7 was released, and at the price the iPhone 7 sells for, compared to features and specs, these should have been bundled with it. Extremelly disappointed. I'm done with Apple. This year all of their devices were stupid.. stupidly modified to limit usage and boost sales of accessories and stupidly over priced. My next phone is going to be an android. GG

Simply sticking to the tried and tested 3.5mm jack would have saved us all this trouble.
