Anonymous, 12 Dec 2016The prices of little older android phones are falling like ... moreThat's been the case EVERY year since 2012. It's not a bad strategy if you play it right.

There are two ways to have secure, up to date phones: 1) buy a cheap phone like this for ~$100 every year, replacing when it no longer receives updates, or 2) buy an expensive phone like DTEK60, iPhone, or Pixel and keep it 3-4 years (Apple JUST dropped 4S support from 2011).

So it's not a bad deal. Cheap for the sake of saving money is a losing proposition. Cheap with the idea that you might drop it, wash it, whatever, is a smart idea though.
