Verizon iPhone 4 goes the CDMA way with an antenna redesign

11 January, 2011
Turns out the expected Verizon's big announcement today is all about the CDMA iPhone 4. Apple's latest gadget has the same specs as its GSM sibling (sorry guys, no LTE) and will hit the Verizon's US network on...

It will do US consumers good to have equal products offered from multiple networks. Where I live Verizon's coverage is MUCH better than ATT. Thus ATT will have to have lower prices to be competive given equal hardware. if ATT product was unlocked it might be more compete better with those who travel father afield.

Hey you owned a cellular company like Verizon you wouldn't say oh its just a phone to other people.

Umm, I thought you people would know that the A4 on the iPhone runs at roughly 800MHz & not 1GHz.

Am I lost? Is this cdmarena.com? Gsmarena is now being swallowed by the system and post anything non-gsm related just to have news. Thats just being biased and posting by sensationalism.

R-UIM Card is CDMA's version of SIM Card, and it's widely use in Asia.

WTF CDMA?! This reminds me of a time in the 90s when American movies had characters using ugly and laughable Motorola Startacs while the rest of the world used sleek Nokia 8210s and 3210s.

"The one thing that's changed for sure is the antenna - it's re-designed to work with CDMA networks and is divided into slightly different parts."

At least that's a plausible explanation for the redesign.
                              Antenna-gate? Definitely a non-issue. So he says.

Iphone is the old name for the game. I will not get the IPhone 4 on Verizon. Been using Iphone 3gs on T-mobile for 2 years already. I'm Waiting for the Iphone 4 in white or just wait for the Iphone 5 better. Verizon is a little to late to get in the felid and play the game. At&t is smart...coming out a IPhone 5 in June 11th this year...just 4 months away from Verizon. I rather wait and use it on T-mobile.
