Rooted Nexus 5X on Nougat supports Daydream VR with this mod

Rooted users can perform this modification to a file in order to get their Nougat device working with the Daydream VR headset.

But why though?
The screen is too low res/quality for VR. Why bother with this mod of your phone is hardware limited anyway...

Not VR Headset but VR controller and Daydream Apps.
Daydream Headsets is nothing new, its just box with lenses and strip. you can buy better ones(starting from better lenses ending in look/material) for even 30Euro(eg Homido goggles).
Daydream headset would work even on Nexus 1 or Nokia 3310...
Please start using more proper form like Daydream system or Daydream SDK, or Daydream App. Because Headset doesnt have anything in it, its all about controller and SDK that apps/games use.
