all connected apps and programs do this. OneNote, Evernote, Keep, and Notes on iOS. The only that doesn't is OneNote for the PC (as part of the Office suite, not the free app) - but you have to not sign in to your or any account, keep a local profile and of course, block OneNote from accessing the internet.

AnonD-425519, 15 Dec 2016I use Google Keep. Super fast, easy, works great on desktop... moreI do sth like that as well.
Google Keep for temporary notes, and I have it on my home screen.
        OneNote for 'permanent' notes.
I tried EverNote and I didn't like it.

(temporary notes for a week at most, permanent notes for years)

You can, in fact, opt-out of this particular change. Per the Dec. 15 update, "If you choose not to participate, your notes will not be included in this research." That sentence includes a link to your account settings where you can opt-out. What you cannot opt-out of is the already existing instances where Evernote can view your data per the privacy policies already in place.

But OneNote is from a company who created Windows 10, a desktop software that behaves like a malware.

Once you upload something on the internet you must realize that you can't be guaranteed that your data is 100 % secure. There are admins of sites, there are the ones who created algorithms for encryptions and there are hackers too. If one may not be able to reach sensitive information then some other people will.

Microsoft services are generally better than anything else currently on the market.

                                    People still use that?

                                      Wait what?
""this is primarily to make sure that our machine learning technologies are working correctly""

What machine? Its damn NOTES APP for god sake.
User write it, and all what you should do is damn sync it between devices... THATS IT.

No wonder that more and more people stop using evernote, those ideas they make are just hilarious...
