Of course, the iris recognition tech from the Note7 will also be there.

I like Sony's side mounted sensor, although not sure how Samsung would manage to squeeze it onto the curved edge.

Good move if #Samsung actually does put the fingerprint sensor at the back... like what #Huawei have implemented way back. Also, Huawei's fingerprint software is just amazing and very useful.

Samsung should place the battery at the right size and right position, fingerprints put anywhere is okay.

The UI is not that good and the prices are high facing the competition...not mentioning they have the best camera sensors in the market but the photos taken with their smartphones are not the best? It should be, they should work on the software.

Many people think Sony dont put fingerprint scanner in their phone because customer dont see it in either on the front or rear of phone. Hahaha. Its on the side!

Side-mounted fingerprint sensor just like in Sony's is the best location for it. No one can complain about using it on the table and it is easy to hold too. I simply hated it on the front because it took up too much space. Bezeless design can be achieve if they dont put it in front.

Julliard, 18 Dec 2016If you have pattern lock, its there, you use it. Put a sing... moreYou don't understand but that's ok. It's not about me being lazy or anyone else, it's about the usability of the phone. If a brand gives you a fingerprint option and you want to use it but sometimes you have to use other methods because fingerprint is not so practical at that time, that's called a workaround. The solution would be placing the fingerprint scanner easily accessible in all the situations possible. And that would be in the front: accessible when you take it from pocket, accessible when it's on a table etc

Fingerprint in the back IS NOT easily accessible in all the situations.
Can't understand that do you? Just maybe because you have a smartphone with fingerprint in the back and like it that way, that doesn't make it the best or more practical for everyone ok?

If you have a car without remote control to unlock the doors and you have all the bags in your hand from the shopping, don't be lazy. Just drop everything on the floor and get the key in the door lock to unlock it and then pick the bags up. It's easy to drop the bags on the floor, it's just there!
                                  Don't be lazy right?

AnonD-546038, 17 Dec 2016Maybe you're working and don't want to constantly be pickin... moreIf you have pattern lock, its there, you use it. I do too. And I will miss it a lot. However I won't feel as bad knowing it's for a 90% or greater screen relastate. For anything less though it's would be a stupid and useless loss for no reason or gain
