Obviously I absolutely don't hope so, but if so? I think it will be a really bad strategy from Samsung, considering a lot of reasons, among them all the competition. Not just from the usual, such as LG (G6) HTC (11) etc. But from the Chinese such as Xiaomi Mi Mix (& 2), but even more from the excellent affordable flagship killers such as the OnePlus (4) & ZTE Axon ( 8 ). So if Samsung will make the S8 even more expensive? Then it will be even more cristal clear that it is absolutely much better to switch to one of these affordable flagship killers

They want to compensate the loss over Nuclear 7,so they will charge you more,and the question is why not Xperia XZ as an alternative over S8? What S8 might have as an advantage over XZ?

Haven't had a Samsung since the s2, too much bloatware. Had a nexus 5 now a one plus 3 and am liking the zero bloat approach in both UI and non uninstallable apps you'll never use.

I think it's pretty safe to say Samsung is going to have huge problems. They have to lower the prices because those chinese companies, not making them more expensive!
It's already happening that in many countries people have switched their galaxies to huawei phones because for most it's basicly same phone with third less price.

Next year I will he getting the best/ most powerful version of the S8 hopefully with an S-Pen, Then later next year I shall have a Galaxy Note 8 as well.
Im not a fanboy of any phone company, It's about what suits me! For those of us that can remember, I have had all these different companies phones: Nokia,HTC,NEC,Motorola,Sony,Samsung,Apple.
If asked what was my most favourite phone it would have to be the Sony Ericsson p990, It was ahead of its time and amazing with a removable qwerty keyboard!
