Anonymous, 15 Jan 2011perfect phone IF screen was AMOLED or with BRAVIA ENGINE ... moreWell dude, Bravia is Sony technology.
AMOLED is Samsung technology, and RIM is in a bit of trouble right now, I don't think they have enough money to order AMOLED displays.

If RIM wants OLED technoloy, they can use Samsungs AMOLED, sAMOLED, or sAMOLED+... or make their own =)

I think that you want more pixel density and higher resolution. WVGA at least.

Anonymous, 15 Jan 2011LOL.........u dont know what a thief can do with ur phone, ... moreHow can he sell it whan the potential buyer will see to whom the phone belongs?
Sell the parts? Maybe the battery, but that's about 24$ new from the factory. He'll better return it because he can hope to an honest reward of that amount or more. And he does not risk to piss off maybe a russian or eastern european guy who cannot go to police(if you know what I mean).

[deleted post]Why? There is an app that takes the picture of the person trying to unlock the phone, you can "listen" the phone without the thief knowledge, you can initiate a 10 minutes sound message that cannot be stopped(imagine the thief face when you do this at his working place), AND you can see where you phone is via GPS.

Big screen, big processor in a BB running RIM OS, for what??? ridiculous, RIM OS doesnt need a high spec. They just want more money, its a total SCAM.

Nice, better than any Nokia anyway, but I wonder if a BB, an iPhone, and, oh well, a Nokia phone can do this:
                          http://img197.imageshack.us/img197/5200/screen1ez.jpg ?
Once I found a lost BB in a airport bar next to the boarding gates, luckily the owner came to collect it in time.
With this thing, which I think is only on Android, in combination with a carefuly setup app locker and all the tracking apps out there, the phone is practically unloseable/unstealable.

I was waiting for this mobile since i am using now storm2 but,,
What is wrong with Rim? 1.2 GHZ processor & 5 mp cam packed with 518 mb memory, & yet devise is expected to be released on September 2011!!!
Other manufacturer already came up with higher specs "dual core processor, 8, 12 mp cam, etc" & their products will be on shelves end of 1st Quarter 2011!
also, i wish that rim will take care of the bulky thickness of the storm3
last thing to say is: hope that storm 3 is as durable as storm2 , i drubbed it many times , one time slammed it against the wall & believe me there is not even a scratch on the screen & still working!!
