The units in question are offered SIM-free in the US - a great option if you don't want to get tied up with carriers.

Herodroid, 21 Dec 2016Lol, gamble? OnePlus replaces device within 15 days aafter ... moreWhat if they deem your device "not faulty enough"? Who pays shipping price twice?
What if shipping price isn't $0 or $10-20, but $50 in each direction? A few service cases and it'll cost exactly the same as S7 on a holiday season. Plus a few weeks (months) out of your hands (in my case shipping in one direction takes 1-2 weeks as a minimum). On the other hand, Samsung has service centers all over the world, so its typically much easier to reach them - takes less time to get a fix or replacement, and no or small shipping costs.

At the same time, most of the devices have no hardware faults, so you're most likely safe. It's just me - not willing to take chances.

    Hi I'm samsung S7edge Rs

Note7 owner, 21 Dec 2016Wouldn't pay more than $299 for the S7. And $349 for the S7... moreSays the Note7 owner..How much did you pay for your last shamsung? Lol

"Sure, the OnePlus 3 might not be quite up to par with the likes of the Samsung Galaxy S7, but it is a solid snapper that performs consistently and reliably under all conditions and seldom requires more than a single try to capture the desired shot"

Anonymous, 22 Dec 2016Faster? That's a good one. You gave me a chuckle there. It ... moreNope samsungs camera may not be to everyones taste but it is one of the best cameras according to alot of websites and it does beat the OP3 plus the s7 edge has a SD card slot which is im portant to many users. I get the OP 3 is cheap and good for its price.

If speed is your thing and budget buy the OP3 if you want but right now the op3 cost as much as an s7 edge and i rather get the s7 edge i have used 1080p screens and 1440p and i cant go back and also in vr it does make a difference and i regularly use VR .

It is being punished by One Plus 3T, it's probably one of the slowest 2016 flagships in real time performance (S7 is) due to its heavy skin among other things:
            https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=otwED6s3rCQ

Actually OnePlus 3T is the only android nearing iPhone 7 is real time performance. If you want speed *don't * buy Samsung.

Also the OnePlus screen is excellent after it was the SRGB update. Natural colors. There is virtually no difference between 1080p and 1440p screen for most people, only those using VR would care and even them won't be satisfied as in their case even 1440p is too little.

OnePlus 3T also has better battery, storage is ultra fast (using the same UFS 2.0 as Samsung).

Samsung camera is technically better but loses in all comparisons dues to the absurd post processing.

So yeah, research better next time. You're backing the underdog just because it has a more recognizable name. 3T is still the king of android this year 'round though.

Yeah Only Us Has A Discount Where In You Will Save $179 So Which Means S7 Will be 499.99 And The S7 Edge Will Be 599.99 I Am Not Satisfied With That one I Can Get Better Phone For That Price Although I'm A Samsung User Where In I Have A Samsung Galaxy S6 Which is now Upgraded With Marshmallow Though It Is Good Phone At All But I Am Interested To buy A New One (ASIDE SAMSUNG) Just For Me To Have Another Experience On The Other Brand.

These big companies is a big NO for me, they put premium price for just a brand name and advertising. OnePlus is a good example on how much device should cost, and so i got OP3 which is amazing. Not regretting and i have no problems with it. Worth getting one.

I got OO3 1 month ago and i have no hardware issues. Maybe 1-2 software bugs, but not that anoying, im waiting for nougat update.

Also galaxy s7 still uses old micro usb. Also OnePlus 3 has fastest charging technology - dash charge. Also updates are about the same, but oneplus just beats samsung when you can flash custom rom on OP device... Galaxy s7 is not so great device compared to oneplus 3 and the price oneplus 3 has.

Julliard, 21 Dec 2016This S7edge is way cheaper than its launching price at $780... moreOnePlus doesn't have much to offer in after-market service. Samsung does. Apple does. Xiaomi doesn't. These phones that are not serviced are a gamble for the buyer - if it breaks, you can buy a second one and still (probably) pay less than one brand flagship... but if flagship breaks, you can repair it practically anywhere plus you get extra features... so its typically a question of trust to unknown brand and your desire to risk.

Most people don't risk it and buy "safe" brands. I bought a few Xiaomi and Meizu devices, they've been good (one Xiaomi was faulty, though, I was lucky enough to get a replacement at the cost of just one shipping fee). If I had the money, I'd buy S7 right now, even at $550 its seems to be a good deal.
