thats it ? i thought they would name it mode 1, mode 2, mode 3 or they might even name it normal beast mode, danger beast mode, tiny beast mode.

I assume it means overclocking. If it doesn't it is a fail.

They'll keep it under clocked for most of the time, because nobody needs the power of modern phones. Therefore S8 will fell like an S7 in 90% of the things and the power will unlock only in certain games.
That way it allows S7s to keep their relevance and Samsung not having to develop and actually good scheduler that used both the full performance of the SoC and retain good battery life. It's a perfectly lose-lose scenario for S8 users. Thankfully I won't be one of them.

Bad VR is a fad and will go the way of the dodo.
Good VR (whenever it may come, if it did already) will change the world forever.
Anything is a fad if it is as badly made as Gear VR (pixels big as dots, image retention, low refresh rate, nautia, bulky and heavy... no apps).
Even smartphones were a fad before Apple made them well in the second iphone).

The only beastmode that i could think of would be the future galaxy s8 users if it ever got another fiasco or a feature flop. But then samsung should have learned a lesson or two by now.

Why not introduce Emergency Mode? In case it goes Note7 again. Emergency Mode should automatically cap battery or disable charging. It should also allows a users to have easy access to refund during recall.
