which is really good considering some people's attitude's towards symbian. actually, its outstanding considering the attitudes.
I have to give props to apple too. they're doing amazingly well.

Well for me, Apple products will always be ahead among other brands out there in terms of performance, features, and above all the price value of it. I really love the iPhone 4 unlike the other 3 generations before it. There is actually no problem with the signal in our country and I think it's the carrier fault not the iPhone 4 itself. Summing it all up, I really love Apple products and i'll continue being an Apple loyal end user. :)

... moreNice answer, quite funny, but I cannot notice that 80% of the points include an extra effort/money and the others are lacking. There's an app for this there's an app for that, there's an accessory to buy for something else etc.
You see, this can be part of iPhone charm but still don't you think that there are quite many things that are not ok out of the box for the price you pay?
That is why I can compare without any doubt iPhone with Nokia N8, C7, E7. Because you gain some, you loose some but and in the end the acquisition of this kind of gadget is subjective...but it still should give you some freedom and not be determined by a carrier or manufacturer or by country.
That is why I trust Nokia with its good and bad things. It gives me the simplicity, freedom and reliability I need.

Bt its an excellent smartphone. And regarding marketing techniques, apple s sellin only 1 model. With n8, nokia s promoting their new symbian 3, along with c7 nd c6-01. They ve already announced phones wid better processors this yr. Trust me dude i ve used sym3 on n8. Its much bttr thn n97(crap). And for n8 there r less apps compared to iphone. Apple shud add more basic functions coz its chargin much more thn n8, xperia x10 nd galaxy s. For tht price apple shud mk a perfct phone. Am nt a nokia fan. I prefr SE. Waitin for new Xperia Arc.

People are crazy that is why Apple can make this profit. I believe if someone really posses a good knowledge about the specification they will not go for Apple specially iPhone. Apple never give the value of money. Apple sucks

~which dont have suitable multitasking/poor multitasking - Multitasking feature here is really. Easy to use and able to run a lot of programs without crashing the phone.
~still lags after having 1GHZ cpu - No lags so far. Touchsrceen interface is still better as compared to other touchscreen phones. Games are far better as compared to other handsets, which means its processing power is really good
~which dont send files over bluetooth to other phone - there's an app for that. Check app store.
~does not have a usb mass storage - there's an app for that. I downloaded it. Check app store.
~Hardware design is prone to
reception issues - Bumper case has resolved this issue. But even without it, I don't have issues
~MicroSIM card support only
and no minisim card support - Official iphone carrier's like here in the Philippines wells microsims. There's no issue here.
~No Flash support in the web
browser - Steve Jobs made a good arguement here as flash is unstable
~FaceTime video calls work only
over Wi-Fi and not over 3g - Loved this feature. I was able to call my brother when I was in Taiwan using Facetime through wifi. He's using Itouch 4 with Facetime. No roaming fees!!! You can consider that VOIP.
~No hardware shutter key for the
camera - Now that's something I have to agree with you.
~No FM radio - there's an app for that. But actually, I had SE phones, but never used their radio anyway.
~ No stereo speakers - I also agree with this.
~No microSD card slot - what more memory can you ask for?
~No smart dialing - just bookmark your contact as favorites.
~Too dependent on iTunes for
loading multimedia content - download sharepod. But Itunes is ok.
~Poor loudspeaker performance
therefore no enjoy of music at best level - and why would you play music on loudspeaker? Get a good set of speakers of earphones.
~no hdmi port - There's TV-out anyway.
~plays only 3gp and mp4 and no divx/xvid support - there's an app for that VLC
~slippery body.doesnt have firm grip when holding in hand. - there's a case for that.
~not user friendly OS and too much icon even for basic function - OS is very easy to use.
~no file transfer to PC - there's an app for that
~no expandable memory - again, would you still need more?
~no copy and paste function in msg,gallery,and in general task - there is.
~poorest file manager and no file explorer - file manager is with itunes.
~no email,no IBM lotus and microsoft mail exchange synchronisation, no pc synchronisation, - I check my work emails using my Iphone. Not sure why you say this.
~no business features like document editing and viewing of ppt,pps,txt,doc,docx,csv,vcf - there is. There's an app for that.
~no VPN(Virtual private network), - there is. There's even Citrix app.
no VOIP(Voice over internet protocol),no SIP configuration which r essential in busines when u working in corporates - There's skype, facetime and webex for meetings.

Why we buy such expensive and scrap phones which lacks feature even the dumbphone has

which r cheaper and much better than iphone.
we r ready to pay upto $1000 provided we get best function.
SO,WHY TO BUY IPHONE WHEN THERE IS NOT A BASIC FUNCTION WHICH OTHERS HAVE IN THEIR OS FOR LONG TIME.
ITS UPTO U WHETHER U R A FOOLISH OR ACUMEN
IF PEOPLE R FOOLISH THEY WILL BUY IPHONE

Apples good but they arent brilliant. it not really a kick in the face because the smart ppl know that Apple mostly sell their products to people who want a simple easy phone thats fashionable. the ppl with more interest and a lil more brain power would not but the iphone like me. But i own an Ipod touch and in terms of MP3 players the Itouch is definitely one of the best.
as for the guy who said the Ipad is unrivaled besides the galaxy tab i agree but u also forgot about the xoom
