There are a lot more tablet supported apps coming now now days too, but even majority of the phone-made apps look just as good. I feel Chrome OS is going to be a major competitor for Microsoft. Especially once google becomes more of an entity within the carrier/ISP market.
Having Google Fiber (1gbps) would be an incredible experience having data or even video games steamed to your device faster than even conventional hard drives could read/write.
