I'll be that guy waiting in the background, to see if any of them have a hardware keyboard. But I'm not expecting them to.

AnonD-618883, 27 Dec 2016I didn't knew that nokia still have such a huge fan base.. ... moreNokia signed a contract promising not to make phones. I whole write up on it in this post, but GSM Arena proclaimed it to be spam. Bummer. It is a nice story.

Now Nokia is making phones again. And those of us who remember what Nokia used to make are expecting more of the same: Great hardware and innovative software.

My first Nokia phone was a 2310, a dumb keypad phone bought in 2007 and it's still working to this day. Gifted it to a friend a few months ago. The last Nokia phone that I owned was a Nokia N8. Nokia is synonymous for quality. Back then, the Nokia N8 was a phone ahead of its time and will ever remain a legendary phone. It had excellent build quality, camera, sound, battery backup, software and despite having an anodized aluminum body, its battery was removable. I kinda miss the Nokia N8's build quality, camera and sound. Symbian was very good operating system and very resource efficient. It would have been alive if Nokia wouldn't have opted to ditch it in favour of Windows Phone OS but Symbian wasn't originally created for touchscreen phones so it kinda fell short compared to other OS. Android is here today only because of mass adoption and this has only led to its further development. It's a good feeling that Nokia is coming back but the fact that HMD is behind the upcoming Nokia smartphones irks me, a strange feeling that it's not the original Nokia but anyways, Nokia should get their game right this time. First Nokia should focus on build quality as that is something they are known for and realize that by directly competing with big players like Samsung, Apple would be an act of suicide since these companies are established in their respective domains (Android and iOS). For Nokia to establish itself the in Android realm, it needs to be very competitive by delivering a flawless user experience as that is what matters the most these days and for this to happen, Nokia needs to approach Android with their own take (create a custom Android ROM exclusive to Nokia smartphones such comes with the integration of all basic and advanced features like Xiaomi's MIUI or Samsung's TouchWiz user interface). Nokia should think out of the box, like providing real Dual SIM handsets with dedicated SD card slot and removable battery. Many manufacturers these days are opting for Hybrid SIM Slot which restricts the user to use 1 SIM card and a Micro SD card at a time or 2 SIM cards without MicroSD at a time and most of the phones these days are coming with non removable batteries- these are nothing but compromises for the users and nobody likes to compromise. Nokia can surely write its success story once again if it has the will, patience and the right plan to succeed. I'm eagerly waiting to see what Nokia brings to the table in 2017. Hoping for the best.

Several months ago they promised via their official facebook a tablet and some high-end mobiles, 2 or 3 models, and now they don't remember they did it. I'd like to believe this time they could do what they promise but...

Nokia used to make the best hardware back in the day. If they come up true to their past and build some decent vanilla Android devices they could be onto a winner

it would be Made in Vietnam, Microsoft has sold their Vietnam factory to hmd, now it is impossible to built mobile phone in European countries like we have seen in past Nokia devices Made in Finland, Germany, Austria, Romania, Hungary, Korea..because of high production cost, it will be only Made in Vietnam or China...So quality might be compromised...

Take all my money nokia am waiting lol
