AnonD-626212, 29 Dec 2016I am using the leaked version of nougat on One Plus 3t and... moreThe leaked versions, beta releases will not receive the official OTA update. I recommend you wait for and flash the official (non-beta) release from the One Plus official website.

This will restore the OTA functionality.

    Exactly this.
They might be considering it a release candidate rather than Beta. And could just go with it, if no problems come up.

    That's what I'm hoping anyway. :)

It's ok to wait for a stable ROM then releasing it in a hurry.

I'm currently running FreedomOS v1.7 (based on the the current stable OOS (v6.0.1), and it's BY FAR the best ROM I've ever used (on ANY device, not just my OP3). The dev team is amazing, and very, VERY involved with ongoing development of their builds, going so far as to release community builds about a day or so after CB's of OOS are released.

FreedomOS is basically a cracked out version of OOS, with a great team behind it. v1.7 is the current stable build, but as soon as they get their hands on the official Nougat OOS release, that's when I'll make the jump. I'd rather wait a few more days after the N OOS is released and get the FreedomOS release instead.

It's also the ONLY OP3 custom ROM that has the fully funtioning OOS Camera (w/ OP3's Gallery app as well). There are a few promising ports out there, but most have bugs when shooting RAW, and NONE can do proper 720p @ 120fps yet. The OOS Camera on the OP3 has such deeply integrated framework, making it a tough port; but since FreedomOS is based on OOS, it's identical to stock.

Give it a go. Just make a full Nandroid backup, that way if you don't like it, just restore back to stock. Stay away from the current Community Builds though . . . . they have issues related to firmware changes, making it a hassle to go back to where you came from without first flashing a custom version of TWRP, restoring, booting, flash current TWRP, flash previous firmware, etc.

I'd rather wait for a properly tested stable release than have a rushed one, my OP3 is absolutely fine on OOS 3.2.8 (android 6.0.1) so not in any hurry for nougat.

Hoping the final build will be released on 30th of this month!!
