I can see already that SD835 will be more powerful but 8895 will be more power efficient. They are both great to me at least.

Too bad. Those chips will be slowed down by TouchWiz.

IPhone levels of expsensive. Samsung is clearly going out of her way to gain that lauded "premiere brand" title, which apparently can only won if you have ultra expensive products.

This thing is going to SCREAM. The 8895M's G71 will have around 40% advantage in core-ticks per clock over the T880 in the 8890, and that doesn't take into account the enhanced ALU scheduling efficiency, nor the increased LPDDR4x memory bandwidth! In the end, I expect the GPU to have a solid 70% advantage over the T880 in the 8890.

So it would be slower than 8890? (2.6ghz for the first 2 cores, 2.3 ghz for the rest two of the big cores)

This one is only 2.5 ghz for all the big cores... that's a surprise. I thought 10nm would give performance boost, or are they using 14nm still? If so it would be the first year that Qualcomm surpasses Exynos.

Can have all the power it wants, Samsung's Software and UX will still slow it down
I agree with the people below, Android can't use the power given to it without the user tinkering with internal settings or flashing a new kernal or in most cases a whole new ROM

Why we don't we have full fledged PC's in our pockets? Well simple, windows doesn't support ARM based chips yet (will pretty soon) and android barely supports x86 when stock but then it begs the question of why haven't they implemented PC like functions into android? The continuty isn't there, so if they were to add PC like features and maybe even the ability to run a desktop mode like windows 10, and yes I'm aware Android is more PC like then iOS. Can actually access internal storage and system files with no hassle but there are just bits and pieces sprinkled in there for PC users
Nothing that says, hey I can be a normal phone and a full Mini PC. if an Intel atom x5 1.4ghz quad core budget chip can run Windows with 2gb of RAM
Then surely an s8 with 8gb of RAM and such a powerful SOC can run it better right? Not what Samsung or any Android maker wants apperently

Exynos should undergo production in large scale. Much better than QC chips anyway, especially at power efficiency and thermal throttling.

So it won't really make any difference which one you get, going to be almost identical,it will be down to how device makers are at optimising their device to the chips..
Yes phones are over-specced,over-priced,but why can't we use them as proper palm pc's ?
I could use my HTC hd2 to run ANYTHING,winmo 6.5/android,then windows
95/95/xp (embebed)with a powered usb networking hub,you could hook up keyboard, mouse, monitor, external storage, more networks etc etc,,This was TEN YEARS ago,and folk with alphabet pixels seem to think its new cos they can do the same with a usb c!
You cannot even buy a device with a slide out full device qwerty keyboard,,if folk with notes love the stylus,I wonder how they would like a slide out qwertyas well !!

If this is going to be used on Android devices, then it will still be an average-performing CPU.

If you want maximum performance, you get an iPhone or a Windows phone.
