User32, 31 Dec 2016Could u tell me is this better purchase then gopro 5 sessio... moreSince GoPro Session 5 does 4K, I would recommend Yi 4K, the second model of Yi Action.
That should do an awesome job for both the uses you mentioned, since it has a well sized 12 MP Sony sensor, plus, a display to control and see the pics/ videos.

Even the stabilisation of Yi 4K is better than GoPro.

However, please note that Yi 4K would require a case for it to be waterproof..... Secondly, voice controlling is not available in the Yi 4K, if its important.
Quality wise you should be doing great with the Yi 4K. Search youtube for screen:screen comparison.

          I have the first Yi camera that does 2K30, 1080p60, 720p120, etc...

          And I believe that at least the quality aspect of this camera can be trusted eyes closed, even against the likes of Go Pro.
          The official accessory count should go up though, although unofficially it has a huge number of supported accessories.
