Terrible phone. Even with high capacity battery, it does not last long. Power consumption is too high. I cannot transfer the data via connector must only by wi-fi transfer, and there you still can send only one file at once. It is time consuming to transfer all photos. And camera is terrible. I do not understant how Asus dare to sell something like this.

Bro Asus is my all time favorite brand . But they started to degrade their values by taking out these kind of dumb models and now am currently owning a Max 3 5.2inch and even that too not a great deal. but its like xiomi and losing its charm. common ASUS wake up dont be like apple anymore.

My Zenfone Max just got dropped from waist height on a concrete and everything is shattered. To claim it is Gorilla Glass 4, others do have better durability than the Zenfone Max since others survive the same drop. Even their service in my country sucks. I went to a service center on their official website, then the employees told me there was no service center from Asus in that store. Now their Zenfone 3 series might be less durable than their Zenfone 2 series. My Zenfone Max better receive Nougat before Q2 of 2017 starts, otherwise I'm selling this piece of junk online to an idiot, which will fit the phone the best, and I'll switch to Samsung

Kinda bummed by asus nowdays. Zenfone series create a unique design that can be recognize as an asus phone just by looks and no a name. But now its falling to a generic design again. What a shame..

Nik, 31 Dec 2016Aren't companies tired of copying one another...There are a... moreWe don't really need much innovation, tech is good enough - what we need is lack of compromises and common sense. Currently phones are indeed copycats and fashion toys. But a phone with:
-At least 4500mah, removable battery (And of course durable back panel, not ridiculous glass)
-2 sim slots with dedicated sim slot (Or no slot, but 128GB ROM at a reasonable price)
-Stereo speakers (Or a great mono speaker. Doesn't matter, just has to be carefully chosen, not like what they do now - put some random one regardless of its quality)
-Good and loud enough earphone (Yes, they tend to fail even at this, many phones don't provide satisfactory call quality/loudness)
-3.5mm jack with good sound (Both in terms of loudness and quality)
-Powerful enough CPU, but not more than necessary - producing minimal heat and preserving battery
                            -Great cameras
                            -Display with good sunlight visibility

Will be great, won't miss anything and you won't feel the need of innovation.
Now that's a phone i would pay the price of current flagships.

Anonymous, 31 Dec 2016you call zenfone3 looks like samsung/iphone? from what i se... moreZenfone 3 looks totally close to the S6 in black from last year, with only the concentric circle effect added on the back and front bezels. It's Apple and Samsung that are copying each other's own idea, which is basically an idea of their own competitors. Every flagship, and even budget phones today uses Gorilla Glass 4, and dropping them face down on a concrete won't do any damage to the screen itself, so there's no impractical reason for the Zenfone Max that uses the same glass to not survive that waist height drop, else they can just claim it wasn't a real Gorilla Glass 4 that they used. I checked Asus's website with the service center near my location a hundred times already, and the store I went that Asus claimed to have their service center was legit and 100% reliable as my sister bought her Asus laptop in there. I went there twice, and they just told me the same. Now I'm tired of going back and waiting so I'm just planning on replacing the screen digitzer of my old screen instead as it costs half than replacing the whole LCD. My old original screen is still working fine, just so happened that I broke the main glass, but everything was flawlessly working still. That would take time as I don't have any budget to pay it off, and my parents probably won't allow me to do it. If I do it, that would take a year or so, which in turn I can just afford better budget phones

Next time before you purchased one of product always make sure the availability of their official service center in your area.. even there is no asus 'official' service center in your place, asus still right to tell there's service center available (even it's only partner), you should check on their website first. Replacing display will cost no more than $25 that's included service fee (it's from my experience) from 3rd party service center, probably you got fooled by them..
