Finally! Since I saw the Galaxy A family in 2015, I said, if they just had finger print scanner and were waterproof, they would be the perfect phone for me. And yes; I choose water resistance over glass body as I'll get a case anyway.

ghost, 03 Jan 2017glass breaks and get scrached easily, metal is the best mat... moreAluminum actually scratches more easily than glass. It doesn't crack/shatter like glass, but it'll look scratched up pretty quickly if you don't get a case.

i think 2016 model is better than 2017 because 2016 model is with glass body it look like very beautiful and 2017 models are metal its look like same j7 prime j5 prime

I like the company but I choke to read this as their models basically look exactly the same year after year. Pushing am army of same same droids Boring beyond belief. The consumer would really save to know the internals to know the difference.

A53 cores in 2017 for the prices of the A5 & A7 is laughable.
Start using some A72/A73 already Samsung -.-

consumersmartphone, 03 Jan 2017another overprice and probably always overprice, SAMSUNGThe price for A5 2017 is Rm1699.if Early bird will free Rm399 wireless handset. RM 1300 for a 1.9 octa core + Samsung pay + water &dust proof price can accept.
Samsung after sale service is good . Any problem can solve at 1day. And spare parts can get easy compare other brands.pay a little bit more can accept.

AOD is easy to check time and missed call or msg without turn on your phone..
You just see your screen then you know the time no need touch your phone . Aod most useful then indicator .

I think glass body is more pretty than metal, maybe it's because that it hasn't release yet and I'm not used to it since Samsung has been producing glass body midranges a year, but after release who knows?

The specs are satisfactory. The pricing, definitely not. Still, i'd prefer it over a xiaomi or a huawei mid-ranger any day.
