But just because you prefer something over something else, doesn't mean that it's better. When reviewing any device, you must do it objectively, setting your preferences aside. Otherwise you will just get to a biased "conclusion" that is, most often, far from the truth.
Just how I prefer Audi, but I can compare Mercedes to BMW to Audi, and I can also say that Merc/BMW are mostly superior to Audi models. Even though I detest BMW models and their designs.

I just prefer Android devices with Android and Google apps, as I hate Windows and Mac. I, myself, use a Linux laptop, and I'm more than happy with it, but laptops and tablets powered by Android and have Android and Google apps are a great idea. I'm sure they will continue improving the apps, services and system to be optimized.

Yes, cloud based computing has its benefits but it can't fit any business function ALL THE TIME
I won't go into detail as I'm at risk of divulging sensitive information
But, yeah, cloud based computing is NOT perfect and mature. Hence, companies will NOT revert to cloud at 100% (my current clients only utilize 20% of the system to cloud)

This thing looks so awesome. I know that Android is coming out earlier in 2017 and this C302 is slated for it. Once you can "officially" get all the apps going on this thing it will FLY. It can already use them in developer mode. It is super simple to set up. I dont see why they dont just launch it with the ASUS C302. Google needs to hurry up but since you can get all the apps in developer mode who cares really. Core M3, large storage, touch flip, and all metal. Dude this thing is dope.

Chromebooks are even targeted at students. They are affordable, secure and very fast. Writing, browsing the web... thats all a student needs to do to get its work done. Why would they buy a windows if thats not what they need? Think a little about that.

You mean the corporate business sector, which is often full of dinosaurs. Most startups are happy to use cloud-based business systems, and corporations are switching too due to the reduced support costs.

No real business uses Google's free services, as they are vastly inferior to Microsoft Office and the way it's integrated into everything. Of course, there are small, random businesses that cannot afford anything else except free software/solutions, but there are just of few of those, and when they'll get the chance, they will switch to a paid solution.
And yeah, you did point that out right: "apps run well IF optimized" - which is not the case, as there are no Android apps optimized for large screens. Besides this, the entire Android's UI is not optimized for any screen larger than 6 inches.
You want a simple and easy to use tablet? You get an iPad. You want a fully featured tablet/laptop? You get a Windows tablet.

ASUS always make "good value for money" laptops, but they have the worst quality control ever, ASUS screens almost always have horrible backlight bleed...!

It's the nearly perfect device for many people, who need communications, document tools and entertainment, and just don't need the maintenance headache of a full operating environment like Windows. Windows has become an enthusiast product, the vast majority of its features aren't useful to most people and in fact represent a hassle or even hazard in terms of security and maintenance. While trading access to their data, they can be up and running in minutes after logging in to any Android or Chrome device without worrying about backup.
Not sure if it charges via USB 3.1, if so just give it a better aspect ratio (16:9 is awkward for tablet use) and at a sale price it's unbeatable for many people. I hope this type of device eliminates the haze of too much pointless consumer choice that just leads to support problems.

Entertainment in terms of apps, a lot of apps, which is quite better than the Windows Store.
Android apps on a computer/laptop is an incredible idea which a lot of people could and will like and appreciate.

Same price can get you a fully functional Windows machine, which you can use for everything.

Why would anyone buy a Chromebook over a Windows netbook or notebook? It's pretty much a product without any use in the real world. Not to mention it runs Android apps, which are only useful on screens smaller than 6".
