Julliard, 04 Jan 2017Windows arent that great. Lack of apps. Non customizable. I... moreEven pureview cams weren't as good... i have lunua1020 as secondary

Julliard, 04 Jan 2017Windows arent that great. Lack of apps. Non customizable. I... moreWindows had the potential which sadly never turned into reality. You can't sell/succeed with ONLY "pureview camera" as a standout feature. Still, have a Lumia 730 which performs flawlessly and is even eligible for Windows 10 from which I had to downgrade due to teething problems that every new build/OS face. But be it upgrade or downgrade or even the Win 10 experience on phone, it is miles ahead of Android and iOS in terms of performance/user experience. Apps need more developers who need a successful platform. Customization can be built as a feature in updates. Windows 8/8.1 phone has so many things that worked great out of the box: select SD card as App Storage (works as desired from past 2 years), IE mobile with address bar at bottom (neat browsing experience), backup to cloud one drive (format the phone clean and get all the stuff back which I have tested many times), Camera performance courtesy Nokia experience etc. and the brand "NOKIA" yet what happened. Expectations are a way too high for Nokia but if they get the pulse of the market, they can succeed. Releasing Android phones at the rate of every second (Samsung is master at this), bloating them with too many features (Samsung and iOS lookalikes), keeping it stock with few great features (OPO, Moto, Pixel Zone), pricing them insane first (Sony & HTC hats off), use old H/W (HTC so good with 4xx SoC or even 810), pricing first rate H/W cheap (Chinese Guys) etc. will be hard to differentiate and hence be successful.

The king is back!! I hope soo

Anonymous, 04 Jan 2017Why only Android devices? Whyyy??? Why not dual-boot And... moreThough sounds brilliant but again, it may not work out well considering there are so many challenges in Android world. You have devices from $20 to $900 (no identity or differentiation), so many manufacturers (anyone can make a phone), no standard SoC/parts to adhere to (leads to abandoned or no Software support), all kinds of Android versions (fragmentation), either 0 updates or 0 security patches (security), sub-par to brilliant performance (Poor Optimization at times leading to underutilization of H/W), laggy to smooth UI (iOS copy or bloated layer on stock) and then the App Store on which Google rarely exercises caution (fake apps or security breaches galore). Apple is too restrictive but then it works for them in terms of all of the above but Windows was the best balance in terms of control and freedom (H/W Requirements to ensure the best experience) but hats off to Microsoft for failing even with Nokia as an able partner. Buy a 520 or 920 get the same experience! Android freedom is its own doom with the issue listed earlier. I hope Nokia in it's second Android innings puts focus on user experience or bring something achievable to differentiate else as rightly said "no one wants another average phone that runs Android"
