yes I know right!! The S5 was like so forgotten!...Samsung is going good...

Kudos to SAMSUNG for updating this 2014 device with the latest security features.
Meanwhile a 2015 born device - SONY XPERIA Z5 still stuck with November Google Security patches.
I hear a lot of news about SAMMY nowadays and most of them are positive. Let's hope that they stick with this strategy in 2017.

I have Samsung SM-G900A (s5) ... Still waiting for update. Any one inform me how much long i am waiting for this update...?

Anonymous, 08 Jan 2017Cheap plastic and lag = Perfect?????You obviously have never used the S5. Since it never got the S6's version of TouchWiz, it never lagged. It really was underappreciated for what it was

Anonymous, 08 Jan 2017Cheap plastic and lag = Perfect?????It didn't have any lag to start with.

Funny enough nobody said it's inpressive when LG G3 and G2 got a security update last year August.

I'm really glad that Samsung is keeping the security update going, they still sell the S5 so I think it is great for me and all the owners of this great and awesome phone.....

fudge me, my one M8 has gone a year with zero security patches or updates.

Recommended the device to my friends a year ago. They bought it and are still happy with it. It's quick and fluid enough, battery lasts a long time and it's still receiving security updates!
