kirin processor is underpowered if u compare with snapdragon, specially if u game on it! they charge premium price for low end spec phone!

John, 09 Jan 2017Yeah u r right, I have a Honor 8 and its AWESOMEI have a Xiaomi Redmi Pro and a Huawei P9. The build quality on the Redmi pro is probably better than the Huawei. But both are awesome. I'm happy with both tbh. The camera on the Huawei is on a new level.

Qualcomm is a company that does the snapdragon chipsets for the smart phone companies. Some companies solely rely on them others produce their own in-house chipset and huawei produces their own. Huawei has used Qualcomm's snapdragon few times for their mid-range phones. As for their flagship phones they use their in-house hisilicon kirin and texts have proved that their chipsets is very powerful and can even surpass snapdragon in some aspect.

huawei phones are not certified water proof but they are up to some extend. P9 lite could be under water for more than 2 minutes without getting any fault at all. P9 could get some audio fault after two minutes of under water, any other thing works perfectly. So not bad at all. After you blow it for sometime the audio sound becomes clear again. Nowadays it has become part of phones manufacturers not to do open battery phones. I do hate that but that in itself protects the phone to some extent so I don't complain any more.

I m an Indian, using a Lenovo, Mi, Samsung together after using Huawei for 4 years and I can see the hell and heaven difference in quality.

I seriously just bought P9 :D :D
I love that phone, its look amazing and work perfectly. Its not King of the Spec, but its doing all work without a sweat, even VR games!
I bought it because of its look and camera... and now they release P10 xD damn!

Seriously can't wait for the P10! I have the P9, and it's simply the best phone I've ever owned. Got it after the Note5, which was awful in terms of software and hardware.
Let's see what you're getting ready for us this year, Huawei :)

I can guarantee that it will not have a kirin 960, it will probably be a 965 or a 970. The P and the mate never had the same Soc, esp if you consider the 6 months between the release of the two

P10 Plus will have a 5.5 inch curved QHD screen. P10 will have 5.2 inch flat FHD screen.
