Anonymous, 10 Jan 2017I've had my iPad Pro for over a year now and no black scree... moreits not a black screen..its more like how the windows stops responding...except we have a touchscreen over here so there is not ctrl alt del to help..its soft reset...i have noticed that sometimes the freezes revert to normal within seconds..maybe people who use the ipad for reading dont notice?? also its not like iOS doesnt reboot whenever it feels out of ram..its just too fast to notice..can't say whether thats in their favour or not

I was a bit annoyed with my Android tablet for a while so I decided to try out an iPad and my god is it's smooth. I don't use it as much as my phone so I don't need all the customizing that I like on my Android phone.

AnonD-234645, 09 Jan 2017Hmm... it didn't happen yet to me. and I'm a beta tester of... moreapparently this problem is not there for non pro models..i think..and there are umpteen number of sites providing a fix..you know..the usual..roll over..die..soft reset..factory restore...and the note5..it was not a very favoured device was it?? but it turned out ok..my dad has one..no complaints whatsoever..waiting for the s8 myself..but yeah..3.5mm jack(fingers crossed)

IOS is supremely lacking as an OS, the only thing they did right was to buy the loyalty of many app makers and make an agreement with them to never release for android. That way apple has tablet optimized apps and android has less of them. But that's not really a good thing... They play the market...

I had to register my iPad AND my iPhone (and I got also Android. Opted for a Note 5 for now, waiting eagerly for a 3.5mm-enabled-Note-8.)

Tablets: iOS. Android tablets are too weak!
Laptops: Windows. their versatility is amazing.

Tablet market is not more stagnant that laptop market. In fact it moves more units and it is projected to woden the gap. So before reporting relative untruths do you homework first.
BTW it's called a mature market. One that moves millions of units but doesn't seem to grow anymore. It has reached peak and it is mostly moved by replacement of older products. It's still a multimillion unit large market, far from anything stagnant.
According to your terminology you should call phone industry stagnant too because in 2017 it is projected to sell less than in 2016… in fact phones are maturing too, it was only a matter of time, infinite growth is a myth and never existed in any market. Maturation is not stagnation, it is getting a stable cash cow for decades to end... as the tablet market is for those who know how to play it (apple)

No real multitasking even after their latest upgrade, bad pen support (no character recognition in most apps). My note tablet is light years ahead anything apple has produced thus far. It has less of an app choice but that's just google's choice to suppress android tablet sales and boost chrome OS. Still I find more apps that i care about on android than on ios (run desktop linux side by side, proper file explorers)

This is my own personal preferences of the OS I use for a device and I think many people will agree with me.

Sure. ... moreDON'T buy the ipad pros..they have been plagued by some kind of screen freezing...it has been detected at the time of release but if you look up any news of ipad pro or reviews noone mentions it..so i got the 9.7...its good..the screen is perfect for reading...but expect the tab to go into an absent seizure at any moment..even with something as mundane as the video player, needing a soft reset

I have a feeling that in the back Apple is working on their own office products. I don't know if they like having their professional series of laptops relying on someone else's software.

Lead2XL, 09 Jan 2017I like tablets, Android ones that is. But I would never buy... moreIMO that is too small. some phones are 6.4 inches. I like surface pro 3/4 size for windows tablets but 10 inch size is ideal for android/iOS tablets.

I am waiting for a replacement for my iPad mini 4... Sure. I could allways opt for the Pro 9.7. As for Android. none EVER made a true beast android tablet.
