Watch the news "LG to sustain its first quarterly operating loss since 2010, mobile and appliance sales went below expectations" that is what matters not fanboy talk.

Look at the V20, everything the G5 should've been, it's selling much better.

If LG gives a G6 with a nice design and construction quality, keep the top cameras, great screen and big battery, good performance, it'll be a success. Is it that hard?

Forget about Samsung. Forget about LG. Forget about Apple.
Little by little, step by step the boss is coming from China.

Wide angle photos tack sharp and bright. Everyone I know who has one loves it, and the reviews on Amazon echo this, and unlike here, Amazon reviews are not from fanbois.

There's a chance I'll keep my S6 for another year. The phone is still great and these rumors of flagship phones don't make me happy. Either too big (LG 5.7inch) or bezelless curved phones like S8 or P10. I want a 'small' phone with 4.5 to 5 inch display and a bit of side bezels too, but with top specs. Tried iPhone 7 for a week but returned it, didn't like iOS. I was someone who changed phones every year but now I have S6 for 14 months, because no interesting phones are coming to the market. The 'improvements' doesn't justify paying 600 or 700 euro.

The LG G5 is a great phone, it has been underappreciated by people that have not been able to enjoy it. I have on for 6 months now, and it is a really great performer, I also thought removable battery was a gimmick until I needed it and understood the usefulness of it. As for styling I always have a case and some are really nice and make the phone look great, so thet is very subjective, what it is not is the high level of performance and reliability the phone provides is phenomenal. I am hopping G6 fixes styling and w/o eliminating the replace-ability of G5

I was seriously thinking of going over to LG, But I'm afraid there latest phones don't look very inspiring, Fixed batteries and probably memory, Just like apple and Samsung.

Ultimately it's different names on the phones but not much difference underneath.

Instead of riding on its own straights, LG always try to take benefits of others weaknesses, and as others make up for that weakness, and some other weakness comes, LG want to take benefits of that new weakness. That is why they don't have stability because oppositions weaknesses change with time. Why G2 was most successful? Because LG had aimed for strengths. Other thing is their inconsistency, they try something, then give up on it. Every new thing is gimmick at start but gets evolved into something useful with time. sometimes it is better to insist on something that apparently and temporarily looks wrong or inappropriate. Weakness of g4 was its plastic frame and SD808. If next year they would have came up with an improved camera (yes, camera was really improved in g5 but the housing should have been like g4), and replacing that plastic frame by metal but keeping the leather back and even adding wooden options(like one plus 2,metal frame and non metal back) , straighten the gimmicky arc design to look it Slimmer, replacing the lcd with their excellent POLED, and this year had excellent sd820 so that problem was automatically solved and G5 would have been really nice looking.

The removable battery means much larger battery. In other words: extended battery (for example soon ZeroLemon will release a 10 000mAh extended battery for LG V20).

Non removable batteries lose charge over time (removable ones can be swapped when they do) so the average battery life of your phone during the whole of its lifetime is far smaller than if it had removable.

To make things worse you cannot have instant recharge (swap) , doubling of the battery life (carrying a spare) or .... quadrabling it (buying an aftermarket from zero lemon).

Non removable batteries have one main purpose , planned obsolescence and it's one of the primary argument against the belief that the market chooses. Sometimes OEMs force the market to choose in a certain way. Basically why capitalism does not always work (an obviously worse choice becomes the norm if enough OEMs agree to do it)
