paintbuckets, 10 Jan 2017Why is HTC still opting for mediatek chipsets for midranger... morewhy does it matter if the software runs smooth? This cuts down on costs I'm sure and knowing HTC's high standard for software optimization won't negatively impact performance.

As always, HTC will bungle things up by skyrocketing the prices, sales expectations will fail, then we'll see ANOTHER report that HTC didn't meet its quarterly revenue targets, and then the circle is complete.

              R.I.P htc !

How many Mediatek phones will be launched by HTC? What exclusive agreement do these two have? 2018,2019 or 2020 for HTC to launch proper products? Of late, this company is hell bent to look ways for loss. Why would someone pick Mediatek mid range stuff or Old Qualcomm (400,810 etc.)?

                        mtk, mtk s*** all around.

                          3.5 mm jack, please.

Still htc, and even freaking 6". So not worth my money. 5.5" is my max requirement.

Battery for U play is very bad while U ultra has an excellent spec sheet and battery as well

                                  Nope, nope, nope...
First: Looks promising until - no headphone jack, mediatek apu
Second: Looks... too big, unless i need a tablet. Also no headphone jack.
Third: Again too big for me. Otherwise the most promising. Wait, mediatek apu, nvm.

HTC is doing not so desireable phones lately

Helio P10 in two of three 'hero' phones? HTC's been pushing out underpowered phones and was hoping the halo phone would make them more attractive. Now even the excellent HTC 10 wasn't very popular, and they still fail to develop proper midrange phones. Only design doesn't sell anymore. HTC shouldn't disappear, but they will, if they don't hop on the 'super mid-range' wagon (Redmi Note 3/4, Lenovo P2).

And those midrangers are jokes. Hoping good for their flagships, but they should get their s**t togather with those MTK powered "midrangers" which are actually overpriced entry level ones
