Nokia will NEVER put ANDROID on their smartphones so just stop wishing. I'd Never buy a Nokia Android and neither would most people outside the US. It'll never happsn, give it a rest. Stop the Shenanigans & cut it out. Android needs to stick with HTC, MOTO AND SAMMY. Nokia has Meego which runs Android apps alongside it's own apps, Java Apps, Adobe Air apps, Symbian 3 apps etc. Android's nice but so is Meego.

Atrix is an extremely sweet phone ,but the really interesting and newthing about it is the included external docking station, which looks short of like a laptop, but it is actually the case, as you connect the phone to the docking station,it goes into a computer mode and turns on an interface for a desktop operating system plus complete version of firefox, adobe-flash and other programming.you can also dowmload pc applications just like on a regular computer, but instead of a regular computer getting and storing all that data,it will be saved to and powered by the Atrix .you can even set it up to work with a television or other larger screen device (toptech reviews)

Did you know that our upcoming new Symbian phones are also some of our most eco-friendly: The Nokia C7 is the first in the industry to use bio paints and the new C6 is the first to use recycled metals!

who's so eager to see MeeGo? This will be like Sony with their Betamax video tape player/recorder and the other manufacturers flooding the market with VHS. MeeGo may be better than Android but, honestly, they'll have to do an Apple, with their iOS, to make MeeGo work. I honestly doubt this given Nokia's reputation now as a mid-class phone manufacturer. What's giving nokia the market lead is their mid-class, low profit-margin phones. Nokia really has to get their act together. As I see it, the battle is lost. They have to go to a winter break and metamorphose into a something really new and exciting. ... or, as the cliche goes, if you can't beat them, join them!!! the android bandwagon that is.

At the end of the decade, in 1999, Nokia launched the world’s first Internet phone (well, WAP-enabled) with the Nokia 7110, heralding the beginning of the modern era of smartphones. It made the world’s first third-generation call in the same year using prototype WCDMA equipment, though it took three more years until 3G was available to regular users. Nokia launched its first 3G handset, the Nokia 6650 in 2002, to take advantage of what seemed – at that point – to be a brave new world of internet telephony. Later that year, the company shipped the Nokia 6200, the world’s first GSM/EDGE phone.
nokia will release the world first truly LTE phone aka N9
N9 will also sport 14.6 megapixels or a maximum resolution of 4416*3312 pixels. The sensor uses “backside illumination technology” to provide comparable performance to sensors using larger pixel sizes in a smaller package. (individual pixel size in this sensor is 1.4 microns on a sensor of size 1/2.33″” as opposed to ~1.75 microns in both the N8 and iPhone 4).

ludwik, 30 Jan 2011You get what you pay for.
And you seem to have money to wa... moreNo, I got the point. "Cheap", "You get what you pay for". There's always a catch to buying those types of low-level devices. Yes, they have good features, good for people willing to save a buck, but the coin flips both ways. That's why I have devices that don't slouch in either regard.
The iPhone was a gift. I tether it to the Nexus 1 I paid for.

Nokia dosen't only make smartphones. What about its featurephones? Nokia is in the top because it knows what people need. Its products are not just meant for higher segment. It cares for everybody. That's why Nokia will survive and remain at the top.

Atrix 4... moreYeah, 'cept it's running MOTOBLUR. Leave it to Motorola to take a perfectly good smartphone and put at least ONE unnecessary add-on to it.
And by MWC, I bet there'll be phones that match the same specs AND don't tack on crappy UI layers as well.

Oh and me? I have a Nexus 1 and an iPhone4. BOTH phones make your phone look like they're from the stone-age. Both have multitouch (well, it's a little iffy on the Nexus 1), my Nexus One has the latest version for it. I'm staying away from Gingerbread for the whole vulnerability thing, but I don't need to root because I have the best version of Android: Customizable vanilla. With the Nexus, I can tether and move apps to SD any time I please.
Meanwhile on the iPhone, I have an even grater application experience. I have Infinity Blade and Need for Speed Nitro. I just got this new app Layer Player and it's really neat. I got many more apps/games and the camera's not to shabby either. Latest iOS version too.
I feel sorry you even bought a Nokia 5230 in the first place, now you wish the company dead because you keep buying cheap devices. What happens when Sony doesn't produce updates for your precious X8 and your phone is left in the dust, you gonna wish RIP on them too? Lol.
