dudes dudes dudes! donno if its true or not but some guy at mobilereview forums mentioned that nokia n9 will be coming with some unannonced intel cpu and 14.6megapixel backlit camera with 1080p decoding and encoding. too sweet too be true. but if in any chance its true... will any one prefer any annonced phones till now to it?!!! most powerfull os on a nice cpu made by best manufacturer with widespread aftersales support. what else could you wish for except enough RAM?!!

Wrong. iOS and maybe Windows Phone 7 is fastest. Fluid, no stutters whatsoever.

Educate myself? Please, EVERY phone I've played with besides the Nexus phones, Galaxy S, and high end HTC's has been a piece of crap, or slow and stuttery. Don't be angry, knowing Android is faltered.

Android is laggy, less smoother than the iPhone UI. Now that's a fluid interface. OEM roms suck, need to root and flash ROMs to get a near perfect experience. Games aren't much to bring home except Angry Birds and Need for Speed Nitro and a few others. You need good phones to test them on. On the Nexus S, it's buttery smooth at least. Google Maps 5 is pretty neat though.

You have to many homescreens? You miss the T9 keyboard in portrait? You miss the separate text box for inserting an url in the browser? So what annoys you at the Android UI?

I don't buy that. MS published the number of WP7 licenses sold even they are quite low (2 million). If N8 would have sold close to 3.5-4 million as estimated, they would have made it known for sure. But it means the number was not close to that. And based on the average price of the nokia smart phones of 156 euro, very close to the lowest prices, it can be approximated that N8 sold in the range of 2 million. Nokia was embarrassed by this low number and they keep it secret.

Plus, while the graphs talk about units shipped, the article goes over sales and operating profit. GSMArena, AND the IDC doesn't have info on that. Maybe if ZTE posted the results, GSMArena would have included them.

Not really. The key phrase is: sold with them. From chargers to lifetime navigation, there is more in the box than the device itself.

At this point i prefer Symbian. Wp7 is expensive and needs more support - in the form of an update maybe. I believe, though, that it's UI is the best alternetive to Symbian. Feels natural and simple. It is the only UI i don't feel it will take time to adapt to.

We'll see. I haven't seen anything close to a product (phone) yet.

Why is Nokia discussing with MS about producing WP7 phones? Isn't Symbian way better than WP7 in your opinion:)? What about MeeGo? Why discussing about WP7 when MeeGe is not launched yet?

N8? I don't know. At any case i'd put C6-01 and C7 with N8, their OS offers the same experience.
I should also mention that SGS and iPhones where out before the half of 2010, while Symbian 3 family came out at the last two months of 2010 - in more competitive market.
