Stupid Sony... Do they think adopting OLED will increase sales? Then what would be the reason for the existing Xperia users not to just buy Galaxy phones which use the same OLED tech bothering users with screen burn-in, pinkish hue and flickering, and abandon Xperia phones? The same stupidity of Google Pixel. OLED madness is ruining the whole smartphone industry! Just one company smiles...

Grover, 17 Jan 2017Why do Sony Phones have such huge upper and lower bezels? ... moreWhat is the freakish obsession with bezel free or small bezel phones? How do you hold it without touching the screen? You can't put decent speakers that face the front, or a fingerprint sensor where it would be most useful. Even the front facing camera needs to be smaller, or in an indent like on the stupid looking "Essential" phone. Why sacrifice function for form?

Almost 50% of past and potential Note 7 owners bought the Xperia XZ and that means atleast 20-30% of past note users may consider a Sony phones as their next upgrade and due to that, Sony logged a record profit of almost $180 million just this quarter from just smartphones. Of course Samsung will still thrive but it won't hurt Sony since they've just gained a huge burst of growth and a much larger loyal fanbase. Still, Samsung's monstrous average $5 billion yearly profit from smartphones is one to envy.

If they weren't a responsible company then they wouldn't have accepted blame and refunded all Note 7 owners and openly apologized. They're in the position they're in now because of the success they experienced uptil the Note 7, and it'll continue with the S8 and Note 8. I know it's a tough pill to swallow for people like you but sooner or later you'll have to gulp it down.
