Apparently, that's a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 reference design. http://www.techdue.com/leaked-nokia-8-actually-qualcomm-835-reference-design/

OKAY, 12 Jan 2017What HMD is made off? ex-nokians when did HMD comes int... moreThey don't have an _exclusive_ rigth to the patents, Nokia can still license them to others too. The point of the relationship here is that HMD has access to them without similar long negotiations that others would require. This benefits both HMD and Nokia. If HMD is interested to use the patents, Nokia can easier showcase their tech first in HMD, and at the same time keep the brand better.

ok.. stereo speakers, camera ala nokia quality, superbeast snapdragon 835, beautiful design, nokia branding, 6gb of ram..

      Nokia is back.. strong.

Nokia could have made the phone thicker in order to reduce the camera bump with 808 style camera. Where's the Xenon flash? Alas!

I dunno if those are the real flagship phones from Nokia, but I hate that bulging camera. Dude, just make the phone thicker, get extra battery and no camera hump! Is it that hard??

That is becos their first market is China ... and it's by Flextronics.

I bet even Finland cannot buy a Nokia 6 when it's launched.

[deleted post]This is a prototype for Quallcomm SD835.. But quallcom does not produce phones.. So it had to ask for a phone manufacturer to help make this prototype platform.. And this phone manufacturer is NOKIA

What's so Nokia about this device, granted the specs are top notch it still looks like a typical China phone tbh.

You forgot about the once exclusive 8800... 8->

Nokia and Foxconn grew up making phones together. When you have that history and a collective collaborative passion, great things can happen. Ps, one of the best Nokia’s I ever had was the slightly curved, beautiful solid Classic 6720 http://www.gsmarena.com/nokia_6720_classic-pictures-2686.php

Eh....if the pixels aren't of a decent size to counter the lower resolution and it doesn't have at least f1.7 or f1.9 aperture it's not worthy of being a purview upgrade
