Maybe they'll now implement the most requested feature : Secret chats (https://github.com/telegramdesktop/tdesktop/issues/871)

AnonD-625786, 13 Jan 2017Too bad almost nobody in my country uses Telegram...You can introduce it to your circle and they to others and so on.
It may never catch on like WhatsApp but it'll be an alternative you can work with if ever WhatsApp (or your favourite IM app) gets blocked in your country.

i was using the telegram chrome app all the time and was mistakenly thinking, i was using the actual desktop version :-). i installed it yesterday on my linux laptop and boy what a treat the desktop version of Telegram is. fantastic messaging tool indeed. especially the editing features are amazing. i would love to see that in the android version too, not only the deleting message option.

              "Material Design" is boring!

MacOS Telegram has no option to change the chat background and advance features.

But good thing is, Telegram Desktop is also available via App Store :)

One thing I love in telegram is we can edit & revise text that had been sent & read by recipient.
Whatsapp can't do that. What a bummer.
