        'If it ain't broke, don't fix it' is the saying and ARM themselves haven't yet made any real effort to supplant the A53.

        It's well known and understood platform at this point, and as such, easy to optimise for.

            WHICH MEANS: The best processor in 200 series is the 212.
            (Consists of x4 A7 at 1.3 GHz. Adreno 304.)
            Best in 400 series: 435
            (Contains: 8 cores A53 at 1.4 GHz, Adreno 505)
            best in 600 is the 653, which is dual cluster, 4 A72 at 1.9 GHz, and 4 A53 at 1.3 GHz. And Adreno 510)
            and the king in 800 is the big dog 835
            Octa core Kryo 280, 2.4 GHz top cluster, and 1.8 Low cluster. also Kryo 280 (which shortly means Kryo second gen) and the beasty Adreno 540
            just be glad it's not the 200series. or the battery hungry Mediatek. -_-

            (P.S.S.- A53 was introduced in 2014. not 2012)

              The design is pretty uninspiring. Hopefully fast and numerous updates are the selling point, because I can also get a Xiaomi with SD430 for 100€, you know

                      Nice, but I wish it had Snapdragon 625 and more color options.
