I got the update for X8, confirmed they just made some icons look good. just a bit faster, but no multitouch. this sucks.

I kept asking Vodafone UK and sony ericsson about the update but after they both couldnt give me a date I rooted my phone and changed the region code to global generic and then my update was avialable instantly on SEUS and PC companion :-)

the update kinda sucks for x8 users. multi-touch functionality and pinch zooming aint possible? how come!? i've been a sony ericsson fan for almost 7 years now. this is the most dissapointing news i've ever heard from the company.

Q, 01 Feb 2011Has anybody in the Europe already got the update?yes i got it yesterday and multitouch is on onboard and their are som changes in mediascape and some new other things multitouch works only in the webbrowser and google maps and third party application if you live in europe you should soon get it if you have the X10i hope this helps

I just updated my X10 with the new update but I still couldn't use pinch-to-zoom feature. Does anyone know why? Cheers.

I heard that x10 OS wont be updated anymore, thtat 2.1 is that last one. Try google it, cuz the said that you gotta root your x10 to get 2.2

Cannot update through PC Companion in Cambodia.
However, I updated my X10 through XDA Developers already.
It is so cool...
I am now waiting for OS 2.2 from XDA Developers when it is ready or 2.3 from SE in Q4 2011...

reality bites, 02 Feb 2011No update in the U.S.strange, i did the upgrade yestarday. i'm on att using 2.1 x10a. however, the phone was flashed a couple of times, and now i dont have any logo of ROger, cause the phone came from canada. and do not see any point of flashing it anymore.
i like the way it is now :)
