I don't want to have a second power source at all and smaller batteries make that more probable. So if LG provide too smaller battery, as they have in the past, they will most likely be ruled out of my possible purchases when upgrading. In that circumstance whether or not the battery is removable is irrelevant. The benefits of removable batteries is a different conversation. There are advantages and disadvantages to removable batteries but that wasn't my point.

I was simply stating (my opinion) that removable batteries are much better and allow more freedom than sealed batteries. And I also know that most sealed batteries can be replaced (if indeed a replacement can be sourced), or the other option is to send the entire phone off (at the cost of the owner) to have the sealed battery replaced so as not to void any warranties or risk damage to the phone itself. As for battery capacity, that really has only a small bearing on how long a phone will last between charges on a particular sized battery, as software optimisation and chipset efficiency play a much bigger role in how a phone performs. Just take a look at a lot of the reviews and comparisons of phones from different manufacturers running different (but comparable) chipsets to get a better idea.

That is not necessarily true. You may not consider a far more powerful power bank not sensible but I would beg to differ. Either way none of this gets around my basic point. I don't want to have to carry any extra power sources at all and with LG's batteries being too small in the past that is far more likely than with other brands. If I have two phones with similar specs. and one has a 3000mah battery and the other 3600 mah it goes without saying I'm going to opt for the one with bigger battery. Especially if the bigger battery means I don't need another power source at all. So if the G6 comes with a too smaller battery they will most likely lose a sale to me. Whether or not it is replaceable is irrelevant.

Obviously, the amount of people still buying samsung smartphones mean that safety is not a priority. LG should focus on what samsung does best such as release before other android oems, amazing marketing, and most important of them all, emulate apple as much as possible, because ihaters want the most apple smartphone out there.

Having to carry around such a huge device all the time, just in case ones phone should run out of power is a silly idea too. Having a phone that has a replaceable battery is a very sensible thing in the long run, as batteries eventually fail to hold a charge after a certain amount if charge cycles. Buying a new battery for said phone, will allow it to be used for many more years as a second phone, or donated to a friend or family member as a main phone. Unlike those phones that have sealed batteries...

However the point is I don't want to have to do eirher. I want a battery that can last a whole day. If LG want to use smaller batteries that cannot achieve that when other manufacturers can then I'm afraid LG have lost a sale.

Courtesy of being able to carry a spare and gain instant 100%, no other phone can do that. My V10 was never out of juice. 3 batteries, one at home charging, one in device and a spare in my wallet. Never charged that phone ... Infinite battery, literally.

Sealed battery confirmed.
I hope this phone tanks. LG doesn't have the Samsung name to survive that transition.

I think fix your bootloop problem first, it's no point I already bought the phone and bootloop happened then you tell me you can help to fix the bootloop for me at service center. No! This is not the way to sell your product!

That's what they sh... moreit will be their downfall if they dont include a removable battery. in fact if someone never used a phone with a removable battery you have no idea what a huge plus it is. with my g4 I carry a 2nd oem battery that fits nicely in my wallet. I run the screen at full brightness never toggle anything off to save battery life. I go from 5% to 100% with a battery swap in 1 minute. no cables or chargers to carry around. no fear ill run out of juice and need to stay locked to a wall outlet. on the go swap. mfr need to include 3 things. a nice size battery. 3400mah a QC type tech in the phone and the option to swap the battery as well. its not 1 or the other.
