Anonymous, 19 Jan 2017you're not obliged to install an app you don't like so just... moreyes but the problem is there are many apps that comes pre installed on the phones brand that I use and it is getting worse and worse every year. google forces oems to include all their apps In the phones and Microsoft pays oems to include their apps on phones. sadly also rooting is going the wrong way since super su is no longer open source.

And if you really wanna have Google Assistant, you'll either have to buy a Pixel or root your phone and install it, and not everybody wants to buy a new $600 phone or knows how to root their devices. Plus, Cortana is better than Google Now and Siri, so it's good enough.

2) It works on your default lock screen. No need for a third party lock screen.

It's like being terminally ill and you get angry that you caught a common cold. Once you are involved with Google, "your everything" is Google's data. No offense, but Google blatantly makes use of all your data, sensor info, emails, pictures, messages, calls, GPS, microphone, camera, storage, everything! They even keep track on your sleep patterns and the routes you follow when you go from point A to point B in the city.
That's why Android fans became the new sheep of the smartphone/tablet market. They just ignore everything else and consider that their decision to choose Android is the best decision they could've made. And once they've jumped in the Android bandwagon, they are there to stay and will diss everything else.
