17:9 is the ideal aspect ratio for bezeless phones. Does not force them to be too tall looking. Best for VR (real 4k which is compatible with much content), allows space for soft buttons without eating up the 16:9 frame for which most apps are built for.
Xiaomi had it right by choosing 17:9 ... 16:9 is too little and 2:1 (18:9) too much

No one even believed in such drastic changes as bezelless display. At least, Samsung is doing a great job of placing everything neatly, without wasting too much space. Some manufacturers as HTC shall be learning how to build quality phones.

About 90% I'd say, yes. And this should be the "jet black" version from Samsung.. Though in general the new phone seems to be even more fragile than the previous ones.

These don't match the other leaks. Rotating the images and scaling, I get an aspect of roughly 2:1, or 18:9 like the rumored aspect for the LG G6.
I understand the need to go taller so that there is still room for a decent battery, and because people hate on screen buttons taking away space from their standard 16:9 screen, but this is just too tall IMO. Especially for this sized screen. If these panels are real then the dimensions leaked earlier have to be false. Expect phones with these screens at the same diagonal measurement to be taller but narrower.
I've realised (using my S5) that 120mm is the height that would suit me best from top of the screen to bottom of the buttons. So that means a 5" 16:9 screen with the buttons right below the screen, or a 5.5" 16:9 screen with the buttons on screen. You really do get much better usability with on screen buttons! Basically you can have a 10% larger screen and still reach the top and bottom the same. As long as width doesn't become a problem that is.

This openings looks suspicious. I dunno. I can see a proximity sensor there and a laser sensor. A flash. A front facing cam And a iris scanner. This is too good to be true.
