Trolling unnecessarily, this wireless charging is different from what we saw till date. This will be real wireless charging means you don't need to place your device on a charging plate. Just enter the room and your phone starts charging.

AnonD-1825, 19 Jan 2017No he don't know like many others who wrote to this comment... moreWhat does real mean? It won't need a source with wire attached to it or it'll charge wireless for distance more than 10 cm at most honestly now it's straight up copying of feature Samsung had for years

Apple always follow Samsung. There is rumor iPhone with pen, dual edge, no button. I guess Apple is very busy researching for new color lol that why they're falling so behind with current technology.

I believe the problem is the charging speed and not how it charged. More than likely, charging speeds will be sacrificed on wired charging and the wireless one probably will be faster.... at the cost of an expensive adapter. Ah... Apple strategy.

AnonD-535480, 19 Jan 2017The difference here with the iPhone wireless charging seems... moreInduction charging has been replaced by WiPower a while back. Not sure how many phones actually use it. I think the Samsung S7 does.
The good news is that Qualcomm is already integrating magnetic resonance charging capabilities -- which it calls WiPower -- into its chips, like the Snapdragon 810 processor that's found inside the LG G Flex 2. Since WiPower is a technology that Qualcomm licenses, your device won't automatically access WiPower; it's something hardware-makers have to turn on.
