Have tested; installed a free app via new web-market and it worked. Installation started directly i.e. without any further confirmation requirement. Now, the question is; anyone who knows or hacks my Google account name and password can install any app into my device, right?

I tried, but the page is blank when I select onto the Categories section.
What is this? They've released the site prematurely. Trying to catch up with the much better and more advanced Appstore.

All working fine here (on Chrome) in South Africa... and although I can see "paid" apps, I still can't buy any. It won't let me select my phone on a paid app... so I'm still stuck with just free apps :-(
Hopefully just a teething problem as I have a shopping list I want to get cracking with!

AnonD-663, 03 Feb 2011Same thing from Bosnia. If you do a search it will be fine,... moresame thing here in Malaysia. If you do a search it will be fine, it's just that the homepage is blank (top rated) and if you select categories the page is blank also.

We'll It's just been launched. I guess we can't expect it to work perfectly right away let's give it a few weeks or so. I'm sure it will be a good appstore contender.

works great in the UK. main advantage of this is the ease of buying apps, free apps are more of a sideline attraction.

This feature of browsing & installing apps from pc had been available from appbrain for quiet some time already, you select an app from pc & the app will be installed to your phone directly, very convenient. You need to register first to use this feature though.
