Is not all about processors beacuse they are like the motor of a new car, if their interface are HEAVY (CHASIS), NO MATTER what processors it has, it will drains your battery fastly (oil).

mohd5rose, 23 Jan 2017SD430 are better then SD615? I thought SD615 are better the... moreSD 615 theoretically has one A53 cluster at 1.7Ghz, another at 1.1Ghz. In practice though I don't think a single device ever used the 1.7Ghz clock speed, all topping out a 1.5Ghz. Which makes the difference to the SD 430 pretty minimal - and the SD 430 uses a later revision of the A53 core, which tend to be a bit faster. All in all this looks pretty much a wash on the cpu side (I don't know of the L2 configuration, since the SD 615 is higher end, it could have more L2 cache, but even if it does, it doesn't really appear to be faster in benchmarks).
The SD 430 definitely has a better gpu, however. Both in terms of features and performance (albeit not that much faster).

Hey folks! Why are you so concerned about the CPU. What makes the device run smoothly is the RAM itself.
Fast CPU is useless when RAM is not enough.
Just like in PCs, you will experience lag when your RAM is low even though you have the highest clocked CPU.

facebook (... moreYeah! You're right. Nokia 6 is priced higher compared to other mid-range phones. I think it is justified by the materials used in this phone. The materials are only present in high-end phones. This makes Nokia 6 expensive.
Anyways, I will still buy this phone when it arrives in the Philippines.

By the way, relating the Lumia 1020.
I had one running the Windows 10 Mobile with low issues - (Cortana didn't work properly but i'm not used to her anyway).
Suprised Positive Points: Much faster than the last W8 and W8.1, no lag at all. Maps are updated and run without bugs (at the moment). Apps I use: Facebook, Messenger, Twitter, Youtube working fine. Only Instagram had few options on Windows version.
But global, i'm super happy with him and with this super camera sensor :)

i strongly believe that the SD430 covers most users needs.
actually when it comes to pricing - i think that NOKIA had a competitive edge when it came to quality back in the days. a second valid point was the (not my personal opinion) superior design of NOKIA. these two characteristics stick cleary out in every comment section as todays consumers do remember that. i can clearly read that in the comments on NOKIA news here and other sites. and i guess this is why the new NOKIA aims at a higher price tag - just like apple does. even if the competition is cheaper.
the big question is: is the new NOKIA able to deliver the qualities of the old NOKIA? as this will define the longterm success of the new NOKIA.
Otherwise people will turn their backs on NOKIA just as they did 10 years ago. and this is a very fast process as product life cycles are very short. ask blackberry and HTC.

Your overprice argument is invalid when you look at that disgraces named Galaxy J and Galaxy A phones. Xiaomi is a no name in other parts of the world excluding China. Even there in China Nokia 6 is selling well. As you see many people all over this world want to get Nokia again already. Don't provoke them.

i wont buy a smartphone with SD chipset any time soon, exynos and kirin are proving to be much better alternatives in performance/heat/cost departments. i have the honor 6x and its chipset is great for its price.

As a long time nokia fan - this is what annoys me
They make an awesome phone but with one big drawback.
With N8 which i own - it was the ecosystem which they trashed not long after.
The 1020 - they didnt have enough RAM to upgrade it to the promised windows 10.
With this you probably wont get the next Android version.
Theres always something.
Nevertheless - hardware has always been reliable and the cameras are awesome. The 6 is still really worth it for that price.
In South Africa we will probably end up paying double for it.

SD430 are better then SD615? I thought SD615 are better then SD430. It has same cpu core count (octa) but higher cpu core clock (SD615 - 1.7GHz vs SD430 - 1.2GHz).

in smartphones only NOKIA can deliver which others can't. That's variety of design for every new models. That's deserve extra money when you are buying something new inside/outside. Apple and Samsung are quite away... so we can say ... the Dad's RETURN

Nokia 6 is a great midranger that has one of the best 16MP camera (check the samples), solid aluminum build quality(with Nokia's guarantee no less), dual stereo Dolby speakers, with 4GB Ram and 64GB expandable storage, a very good ClearBlack 1080p screen, and 3000mah battery.. Mind you although 3000mah is not the biggest it is not tiny either.. With optimization from Nokia it will easily surpass others for example redmi with 4100mah.. What is the use of carrying heavy bulky 100,000mah battery if the phone is going to drain it within hours??
