Great, now when is the same treatment gonna be given to the poor neglected PEBL?
RAZR was great in it's day, but thin phones are really past it... [wake up samsung, you're two years behind].
....ridiculous x820 will be first against the wall come the revolution!
Give us features in the non-slimline fashion phones moto.

Anybody knows if the software is much faster in this phone or not (as opposed to the SLVR L7) ???
coz according to the GSMARENA review of the SLVR L7, they said that there is a lot of annoying lagging when using the phone's software.
I just hope this silly lagging won't be inherited by this beautiful phone :)

Tht's what dave mean i suppose, MOTO V3x is not a phone which focus on the camera, but on the design n construction instead. So, actually there's no point in comparing the camera in SE which includes autofocus with MOTO's cheapskate cam.

I base my judgment regarding the camera by comparison of pictures from both Motorola's V3X and Sony Ericsson's W/K series. The Autofocus clearly makes a difference. I am not making an educated guess, I am looking at facts. And seeing as how the L7e is a Motorola phone, I'm sure the camera quality will be along the lines of the V3X. Though it is still an assumption, it is a sound one. And like I said before, I like this phone's design. I'm not ragging on Motorola. I like their designs though for some they seem to be outplayed. As for the pictures of two different phone manufactures, I understand that a 1.3 can perform as good...hell the Sharp GX20 produces some very fine pics and it only has a VGA Camera. In fact, I'd say the pics are better than Nokia's early 1.3 Megapixel phones (Like the 6630 for example). But having seen the camera quality of both Motorola and Sony Ericsson, I'm very much certain the picture quality of this phone won't compare to the Sony Ericsson models with Autofocus.

I fail to see where the comparison between a walkman-focused handset and a handset designed to be slim and stylish lies. SonyEricsson and Motorola are two completely different manufacturers. The L7e looks like the original with a few minor updates, I really hope the software interface on this model has been improved vastly over the original as Motorola handsets have recently developed a reputation for being unstable and far from user friendly... which is a shame as they were once competitor #2 to Nokia (and let's be fair... nokias became popular with the younger generation because they had snake on them... which was basically the first introductions of a fully entertainment focused feature to be widely accepted) and before that they were one of the original manufacturers of mobile telecommunications equipment. The backbiting has to stop. If you don't know what you're on about don't post. if you've never used this unit then don't claim that ANY OTHER model is better because you have no basis for comparison other than specifications and a picture... and one 1.3 megapixel camera can perform better/worse than another.

Actually, this phone ain't tht bad.It is just they launched it way too late.If only this is the original SLVR launched previously, it will be a very great phone.

Very well said, DX. So much truth in your words. But sadly some will come to read it. Only to ignore it and start another verbal attack ever so childish.

the picture quality still won't compare to Sony Ericsson's W810i! And the way you keep attacking everyone else in this comment board is just ridiculous, childish, and VERY MUCH IMMATURE! You act as if age is what determines how educated a person is about how good a phone is, which is just stupid! Your behavior on this board is just retarded..in fact it is so retarded, I must coin a new word for you! You are an Ubertard!

Didn't take a retard to figure out that Bruce and james are exactly the same person. or rather people living in the same house.
Just ignore them. They just don't have the capacity to provide an insightful comment. Why did I even bother answering to them?

Yo James! This is the first time I have ever posted a comment on gsmarena, and the only reason I do so is because of you! Now, I appreciate a good phone, no matter where it comes from, be it Nokia, Motorola, Sharp, Sony Ericsson, etc. and in my opinion, I like the L7e's design and features (although it is just an upgrade of the older model). But THIS PHONE DOES NOT COMPARE TO THE W810i! There is just no freakin way! You don't have to have "years of knowledge" just to know a good phone when you see it! And you claim the W810i has been discontinued? Well why is it then it's still available in shops? Releasing even the new, kick @$$ white colored version? And the other thing that pisses me off, is this:
"Well what you dont know is that this is the first in a new type of handset, there will be features on the net that can be downloaded to the phone, ie in 2 months you can upgrade the camera to a 3 mp, also the res can be doubled, this will all be free of charge, its a trail, to see if people will use the service, my mate works in the mobile phone sector and he says this will be rolled out in all the new mot handsets"
Who the hell cares if your "mate" works there! Until Motorola officially announces this to be true, I won't believe it! Though it would be a technological marvel indeed if it were true, I won't believe in such a thing until it actually exits! The L7e doesn't even have Autofocus, meaning even IF you can upgrade the Phone's camera to a 3MP camera, the pictures STILL won't come out looking anywhere near as good as the W810i's camera! Have you even seen the photo's from the W810i? They are gorgeous! Even pictures coming from the lower models (W800i and K750i) produce gorgeous pictures! Making the camera of an L7e a 3MP camera will only make the pictures bigger...thats it. The

Brucie boy, as far as i am concerned people are free to say whatever they want to say.
You can say whatever pleases you, whatever floats your boat, mate.
And what i said isn´t the least bit hypocritical.
It's regarding something that i see reflected in every single message board i surf, something that i feel is not positive to any industry.
Can you tell me exactly how one poster randomly bashing and slating other posters that do not agree with their point of view helps someone be convinced that this is the right model for them?
Tell me how someone surfing through these boards benefits from such bile?
I fail to see how...
But i digress...

James, you should know that the best way to support a product you so thoroughly enjoy is not to antagonize those that don´t find it appealing...
There is something called freedom of speech, you know? And that means that everyone is entitled to their opinion.
Look, i understand criticism.
I believe honest, constructive criticism makes for better things, as opposed to negative criticism, which seem to make up for most of your remarks.
Don't take this as a slight to you, man, because i do respect what you say, even though i do not agree with it.
Ultimately, you should tell people why this model works for you and why you are (obviously) going to buy one, whilst admitting that this phone is not (obviously) a high-end one.
Savvy?
