The first update to Nokia N8, C7 and C6-01 is booooring

The day i bought my N8 i was given the one with the purple tint, watching videos were so frustrating but i simply went right back to the purchase point that same day and had it changed, and so it was. i think its an error from the manufacturers end (an error from SAMSUNG who manufactures amoled screens)

this update is available only using PC. Come on, guys, why is so hard to have it OTA. Nokia sucks...

It is obvious that Nokia is using 2 different screens for the N8 and C7. The cheaper one has the purple tint and the good one has no issues. Funny thing, they charge the same price for both.

Nokia is incredible, i can use my last penny to purchase a nkia phone, but even if i have all the money in the world i can't purchase an android phone again, NEVER!!! it's crap and terrible, even if its given as a gift to me, i wont use or give it to a friend i really like because wont want him/her to go thru the disaster i faced using one. i would simply destroy it.....

The updates are decent,. by why have they not addressed the browser issue??.. i have been using N8 for a month now and its been great for most part. the browser and the text input part are 2 nightmares thou!.. i have an ipod touch since 2007 and its usability is much better even now as compared to N8!!.. i previously owned N82 which was another great camera phone, but for a non-touch screen it UI is good.
Most of us would really be happy if the 2 main issues are addressed first.. probably hardly any complaints at all then. Opera browser is a great substitute, but the lack of pinch zooming significantly lowers user experience, thou it is FAR FAR better than the stock browser whose shortcomings have been touched upon in the review.

Did you hear that Microsoft and Nokia are to get together for configuring a better Microsoft Office for Nokia using Qt?? That is going to be awesome!!! They also plan to provide added services to Nokia like Microsoft Messenger and a better Mail for exchange client on Symbian phones because it is a mature OS. So the hype of a Microsoft merger was just hogwash and this was what was actually being planned with Microsoft all along!!
I cant wait for that N9. Hope Nokia hits those Nokia haters hard once and for all:)
The way things are shaping up at Nokia is such that they are preparing for a major assualt and pundits are worried because they cant predict what they are up to!!! Aaah, the element of surprise...I love it!! Best way to take your enemies down is by infiltration from the inside!!! US, here we come...LOL

nokia n8 camera picture quality is very poor take picture when pict save it is show like 1.3mp picture quality. faltu phone . no upgread in equliager it is pre define not editable

vishal, 07 Feb 2011hey, is nokia N8 really that bad..should i wait as of now f... moreoh don't worry. if you are looking for a phone with photoabilities, the N8 is perfect for you. i got mine 3 months ago and i love it. you allmost can't tell a difference between a pic taken with the N8 and a digicam. and i don't know why they are talking so bad of the 1.1 update. better an update with lot of minor fixes, with make the pone work better in general than one big new fature, when the whole device doesn't work propper. but it works now very well... so with update it will work even better better ;D

According to a video I've seen, i think there would be a new store coming out soon or the current one modified somewhat to accomodate the meego apps.

has "nice" experience with android: flash htc hd2 with android 2.2. accu charged 100%. after 3hrs only 30% power left. "perfect" OS :-\

hey, is nokia N8 really that bad..should i wait as of now for buying the best camera phone in the market ? i am a amateur photographer and my basic needs are photo clicking,processing,uploading and video recording all done in phone..so is n8 for me ?
