They buy it for the apple brand and because it's a luxurious laptop. yes, people are materialistic. They wear and use expensive products to show off. And no, a 1500$ windows laptop will never look and feel as prestigious as a macbook (exception is surface lineup doing pretty good).
But it's true that removing the glowing logo will save apple a few cents per macbook. But it also saves on battery life and maybe allows the screen to be thinner? (the last sentence is based on my own assumption, don't quote me on that)
made in india iphones are for the indian market or something like that. The rest of the world will still receive iphones made in china.

People used to buy mac books only b'coz of the glowing Apple logo.
But Apple to cut cost has removed the white light. The logo no longer lights up on the latest models.
Apple is going to see a downfall with regards to Mac.
Btw their future iphines are going to be made in India..

I really don't understand the appeal of a chromebook. It does less than an android tablet, doesn't necessarily have more storage, much heavier because there's that permanent keyboard, no touchscreen in most cases to take advantage of app store apps. Why in the blue hell don't people just buy an android tab and bluetooth keyboard for the same price?

Make it 256GB Ram, 32 core processor, 90 TB storage and 10 USB ports but make sure to price it under 25$ or I won't buy it. It is a competitive market

Windows is better than Chrome OS.
Windows is better than Android. (both smartphone and tablets)
Microsoft offers higher quality services and products when compared to Google.
Google records monstrous amounts of your personal data when compared to Microsoft.

So even though Google is doing quite a crappy job on Android for bigger screen and Chrome OS overall development, it's still attracting people that think Google is great.

Why would anyone want to run simple and limited phone apps on a large screen instead of running full apps (Windows)?
Android apps look horrendous on screens larger than 6 inches. They even look terrible on screens smaller than 6", but it's not so much of a big deal. It's acceptable.

We should be able to run full Linux in a container. Then Linux on ARM will improve.

Great Now give us the ability to run Linux also in a container. Let us use an Android x11 server with Linux running in a container.
Then make it so we can download and install on our Windows machine
