This shows Note7 fiasco didn't hurt Samsung's brand value as that's a one-off incident and their quick reaction also helped a bit to ease the situation. Not to forget their first flagships of 2016 and their success throughout the year. Samsung's year would have been far more successful and profitable if not for the Note7 fiasco.

Samsung has the strong S7 duo to thank for their profits. I also like the commitment to making smartphones water-resistant. It's definitely a plus!
